This is a Question for all the divorced guys out there. How after your divorces did you find ways to keep motivated. The first few weeks anger took over and i was fine but now the depression stage kicks in. My workouts arent suffering hardly at all i can block everything out for that hour and a half. but my problem is my diet when i feel bad i grab junk food because its comforting. how did you guys stay on your diets during this dark time in your lives. sorry to ask butit just hit this week and instead of 1 cheat meal which was usually somewhat healthy like a steak bowl at chipotle. this week ive had like 7 cheat meals including a whole large pizza for one of them.

I got lucky, sort of. I went through the depression while still married as I could see the writing on the wall. This depression is what drove me to start lifting again after a long break. Then once she moved out and we were already divirced, she started playing games. She drags me to court for custody issues, calls cops on me for shit I haven't done in 5 years, calls health and welfare on me. All of this just gave me a focus and aggression that translated well to the gym. Not to mention the thought of living better than her (physically), drives me like crazy. She put on a lot of weight and is dating a short, fat, bald, old guy. I have abs and a sexy inked up younger girlfriend. I feel like after all she put me through, the fact that I've come out on top in most areas offers me great comfort and motivation. Good luck brother, shit will get better.
she left me for a fat guy and as i still live with her until the end of the month when my new place is ready i have to watch her go out with this fat fuck and fall in love. my lifting hasnt suffered its mainly my diet over the past week. but if i lose just one week i wouldnt be so mad if io could find a way to get back on the horse and back to my chicken breast and rice and eggs. and stay on. I do have a new girlfriend some 18 year old nympho, not bad for a 30 yo man. i guess i could do it for her.
Yeah bro focus on your new chick. Honestly going out and being a man whore for a couple months helped me. I was told the best way to get over one girl was to get on top of another. I do know what you mean too, the old fat short bald guy my ex is with, she started dating him 6 months before our divorce. By the time I gave up on fixing the marriage, I was through being depressed and I was ready to seek the best revenge, living well. IMO nothing will get under her skin more, than if she thinks this doesn't effect you. If she sees your diet slipping and you getting softer, she will think she has the control over you still.
