Minimize hair loss sides and enlarged prostate!!!
I have been doing obsessive amounts of research prior to my first cycle in Jan. 2015. So much so that I tend get confused on things sometimes, because of such varied opinions even within the same forums, but that's for another post later. Anyway I came across an article that mentioned an option for minimizing the side effects of hair loss and prostate enlargement.
"If you're using a drug that is reduced by 5- alpha reductase, such as testosterone, it would be a good idea to run finasteride throughout your cycle to help prevent those nasty side effects from happening. Roughly one milligram per day should suffice. Propecia is the brand name of the 1mg version of finasteride."

What is your opinion on this? Has anyone here tried this as an option for these sides and if so to what success?

If you think you are partner is using I would pin him down and find out if they was using and at what dosage when you concieved any kids you might have. If so, your kids may have issues but signs are not apparent as yet. If this is the case you ought to speak to your pediatrician about it, immediately. Are you worried about your prostate or your hair? Propecia could technically mask prostate issues because it shrinks it down making it harder to detect problems, but that's unlikely for younger people.
Propecia was a prostate drug but they noticed it helped with hair so it got licensed for that as well. It definitely helps for stuff that does convert, but won't do anything for DHT derived steroids. I did a write up on the different things you can do to help your hairline here:
