That is from another company trying to push their products.
This is from WebMD:
Milk thistle (silymarin) is a flowering herb related to the daisy and ragweed family. It is native to Mediterranean countries. Some people also call it Mary thistle and holy thistle.

What Is Milk Thistle Used For?
Milk thistle is sometimes used as a natural treatment for liver problems. These liver problems include cirrhosis, jaundice, hepatitis, and gallbladder disorders.
Some claim milk thistle may also:
Provide heart benefits by lowering cholesterol levels
Help diabetes in people who have type 2 diabetes and cirrhosis
Reduce growth of cancer cells in breast, cervical, and prostate cancers
Does Milk Thistle Work?
Silymarin is the main active ingredient in milk thistle. Silymarin is both an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It’s unclear what benefits, if any, this may have in the body.
Is Milk Thistle Good for the Liver?
At this point, there is not enough scientific data to say whether or not milk thistle can help liver problems. Some early research suggests milk thistle may aid people with alcohol-related liver disease. Other studies show no improvement in liver function in this group of people.
Some studies also show milk thistle may offer a possible benefit for people whose liver is damaged by industrial toxins, such as toluene and xylene.
More information is needed before doctors can say milk thistle actually benefits the liver.
Can Milk Thistle Help People With Diabetes?
Medical research does suggest that milk thistle, combined with traditional treatment, can improve diabetes. Studies have shown a decrease in blood sugar levels and an improvement in cholesterol in people with type 2 diabetes.
Researchers also have found that milk thistle improved insulin resistance, a key characteristic of type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes is a serious condition. Talk to your doctor before taking any supplements as they may interfere with your medication.
Is Milk Thistle Good for the Heart?
By lowering LDL "bad" cholesterol levels, milk thistle may help decrease the chance of developing heart disease. However, studies on possible heart benefits only have been done in people with diabetes. People with diabetes often have high cholesterol. It’s unclear if milk thistle may have the same effects in other people.
How Do You Take Milk Thistle?
Milk thistle can be taken orally in supplements or in tea. Milk thistle can be combined with other herbs.
Does Milk Thistle Have Any Side Effects?
Usually, milk thistle causes few, if any, serious side effects. Studies show that it’s safe when taken for up to 41 months.
Milk thistle may cause diarrhea. More rarely, it may cause nausea, bloating, gas, and upset stomach.
Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant should avoid using milk thistle.
If you have a ragweed allergy, you should also avoid milk thistle. Milk thistle may cause a rash or lead to severe allergic reaction.
Since milk thistle may mimic the effects of estrogen, some women should avoid this herb. This includes women who have fibroid tumors or endometriosis. Additionally, women with breast, uterine, and ovarian cancers should not take milk thistle.
Always tell your doctor of any supplement you are taking. Milk thistle may interact with certain medications.
I have the same take...hasn't the restorative benefits of milk thistle been documented and researched. The company has a profit motive...nothing wrong with that and they make plausible statements, but unless I'm missing something, where is their own documented research to backup their product?
Nice find! Thank you. I take it when I run orals. I realized one day that I was only taking it because someone told me to. I never actually did any research. So when I started digging, this was one of the things I found. I have heard both arguments but the popular vote gives a thumbs up to milk thistle. Thanks again
castroajAgain i really dont think milk thistle alone can be helpful
castroajGuys does anyone know If u use milk thistle and liv52 both at same time can benefit u better protection with ur liver when u are on dbols or not ?
castroajYeah I bought liver care from reliable supplement store and tried to avoid Indian version which sold in amazon and eBay because its possible you get fake one and for $10 difference it's not worth to risk to your kidney so i got American version of liv52,which i can trust better
Dunno...some people seem to like the Indian version better and think it's actually better quality. I'm not an expert can't say this is actually true...just throwing it out there as food for thought.
I can tell you that mine was the american version called livercare. They had both versions ar sprouts where I bought it looked at the label and they are identical in dose and ingredients but the livercare was less expensive by a couple bucks.
Made a trip to Dubai roughly 2 years ago and bought 10 bottles lol.
I run milk thistle year round and throw liv.52 when I run orals. Who says u can't use em both?
castroajWhat dosage of liv52 do u use when u are on dbol ..
castroajThat makes sense ..
What dosage are you using for liv52? Right now, I'm just taking one every meal until 4 meals.
I know that you did not ask this question to me but I have to say you are probably taking more than you need. I take 2 LIV52/day and 1 NAC/day. I did pre-cycle bloods and my AST was 42 and ALT 51. Just did my mid-cyle bloods after taking those 2 for 9 weeks and AST came back @ 18 and ALT @ 16. I dont think it will hurt you to take more by why spend the extra money. I am not taking any orals though, maybe it would be necessary to take more if you had an oral in your cycle.
That's all good for the answer...interaction is what it's all about. Yea...I normally take milk thistle, but figured I'd try what the old school BBers used. I'm just trying this dosage since I think it was recommended amount. But then again, I think it was from a vendor so they've got interest in getting you to buy more. Nice info re: bloods...I love that stuff and it says alot. I'll check my liver values in a few and see if there's anything notable.
Anoni'd be interested to know the difference in the two.. i have two big ass bottles of milk thistle.. we have liv 52 in a local smoothie shop. i wanna say GNC also, but not sure.
Anoni take that back.. now that i've looked it up, i've never seen it before.. got confused with liver armor
I hear TUDCA is the best, ya might want to look into it.
I'm trying it out...tastes nasty, like boiled gym socks
If you have a sprouts around they carry liv52 however I would order off amazon its alot less expensive. Also look into NAC.
castroajAnd do you know what is difference between liv 52 and Liv 52 DS?
ds stands for double strength it is for people with liver disorders, never used it myself. I use the american version called livercare works great though.
castroajDude can i get livercare from wallgreen or wallmart if yes ! whats is dosage for that ! and is this good substitute for liv52?
I looked at walgreens and could not find there. Its the same thing just the american label. Ingriedients are identical. Just take the bottle dosage. 2 a day before meal.
castroajKool mate , Do i need to get it from supplement store or Pharmacy ?
Its hard to find not many cary it. At least in my city. I would save the trouble and the driving and order if from amazon.
castroajman if i need to get it online probably its better to stick with Liv52 because it cost much cheaper ! i m just trying to figure out which one i should go for LIV52 or LIV52DS...
for this purpose liv52 is fine.
castroajkool man .. thanks for suggestion...
