Karma system
So I just saw this morning the vote now is about the karma system. I see it says that 28% agree its based on popularity. Another 28% believe its knowledge. Then which is what I voted for is that it needs a redesign.
I believe that gear pics shouldn't get karma I believe that they should be posted for the reason a mod said it was created to see what real gear looks like. Its hard for me to say that selfies shouldn't get karma because some guys really deserve it because you can see the work they have put in but a normal guy like my build posting a self pic should just be so you guys can see im not a 16yr old that hasn't ever worked out. There should be no karma there.
In the forums I believe that the thumbs up thumbs down is perfect design and that being able to +1 or neg the writer of the post is a great design also.
Does anyone else have an idea or opinion that they think would help the karma system be more effective im really interested in this.

I've said this for a while now bro.....a good rule would be you can only leave a review with say 20 karma or more.
This would make fake accounts that little bit harder and stop 10 different guys joining eroids on the same day to leave a review for the same source
It takes 10 karma to vote but yeah there definitely could be changes. I still believe gear pics shouldn't receive karma. I like to see them and hear pacs are landing but karma for posting a picture. I don't know

Intelect about a topic is pretty hard to poll on a forum, it doesnt take long to click on a name and look at his profile if really needed..
Thats where you can really tell about a member is his profile
I've seen many members in here discuss karma all the time. I believe Karma system is alright and it shouldn't bother you. We are in this community to learn and do more research. Do not give much importance to Karma's and internet ranking systems

Who cares about karma. I agree you shouldn't typically get it for gear pics, but that's if it mattered. It doesn't. And even then, what about someone that posts a gear pic, not of an order, but to bring a fake to attention along with detailed and demonstrated comparison to the real thing? Shouldn't they be able to get karma for that?
But again, that's if it mattered. It doesn't, so who cares. Fuck it. In fact, feel free to neg me for this comment lol
D your right it doesn't matter I was just curious after seeing that vote this morning what others thought might be something to change. You have a very good point about getting karma for showing fake products in gear pics I agree that they should get karma for something of that nature.
Yea... I mean, if we're going to take it seriously, which we shouldn't, it would be something that we should simply better self-regulate.
eg, we can solve the problem of random gear pics getting karma by not giving karma to random gear pics.

You could have easily used the search function and see this has already been best to death. I could give a fuck abou karma and have already taken more from myself than you will ever have.. if you are a solid, knowledgeable member whether you have 5 karma or 5,000 people will take notice.

Bottom line is BFG created it and this is his site. He does take it seriously, I even found after that time I gave my self Troll/mod status. He wasn't too happy with me...
I will say this bfg did an amazing job creating eroids and thats not me kissing ass. This is truly the best set up of any forum on the web. The man is a tech genius in my opinion especially with the design of eroids.
Rosser01X2 I deff agree with eroids being the best knowlagable site of them all, I have browsed the others and seriously nothing comes close, a lot of the members and the answers they give on the other sites is fucked
consider karma to be fairly pointless, mostly just an idea how long they have been here. We've got dumbasses here with expert tags

I believe that normal gear pics don't need karma you have guys that all there karma has come from that. Someone told me yesterday that someone had there karma stripped because it was all from selfies.
Sounds like an issue of too many pictures within a short timeframe

I believe that there are issues but nothing to go and change everything. I enjoy eroids the way it is.
