+ 8 Karma Questions
So i am relatively new here, for the most part i have stayed in the background reading and trying not to make a fool of myself. I have read the forums explaining karma, and have a question that i couldnt find an explanation to. I read what members have recommended to get more karma, post pictures, reviews advice etc..
So my question is, is there better sources than others to leave reviews on and post pictures for? Reason being is, i have posted pictures and given what i thought was a good, fair review and yet the only karma point i have is from prior to these posts.
Another question would be concerning sources. Wouldn't it be proper source etiquette to give customers karma for reviews and pictures or am i misreading that situation? I definitely don't want to come off as crying for karma because thats not the case, just wanting a better grasp of how it works behind the scenes. Thanks for any insight.

+2 to help you get started.
Thanks Sam, i definitely pay attention whenever i see you post. I appreciate that.
Karma isn’t worth much. Other than all the tail you get. When I was a REG, sometimes my wife would say “ I’m not in the mood. I’d end up watching porn in the shed. Now she tries that crap and I’m like “ Babe, I’m a level 3”, and it’s instanty on.
They’ve covered everything well below. Just be active and contribute, and in the end, it doesn’t mean anything other than activity on the boards.
You had me laughing out loud when i read that. Priceless
Lol. You’ll be fine here. There’s truly a fountain of knowledge buried in the search bar. Anything you could possibly want to know is here. Welcome aboard.
Yeah man, I was amazed at wet the bitches got once I got my level 3 tag ;-)
I feel sorry for the ADV members. I’ve intentiinally kept my karma gains slow and steady because I’m not ready for that kind of power.
The mods have it even worse. They’re a rare breed. But the two gurus we had, holy shit. Tread got scrogged into oblivion, and Viking can’t get his hands off a booty to log on these days. It’s only glamorous at level 3, then it turns into too much.
AnonMy female German shepherd high fived me as well, when I reached level 3. +1 for setting me up to talk about dogs.
My male chocolate lab is laying in my bed with me and has his head on my feet. I can't tell if it is because he feels so inferior to my level 3 status that he puts his head on my feet or if he thinks that I am such a loser for spending my Saturday morning on an online bodybuilding forum that he is sticking his asshole in my face. German Shepherds are great dogs too man. How old is she? My chocolate will be 7 in October
AnonI love labs and retrievers, I have 2 shepherds, my male is 3 and my female is 2 1/2. It's funny how they're inseparable now, they're always together and if not their searching for each other.
That's great man. I am thinking seriously about getting another one soon. I may not have a choice in tune matter- A stray that is very obviously either a lost or abandoned pet showed up a few days ago and I have been feeding and taking care of her. I have signs up trying no food her owner, but if I don't get a call I think that I am going to adopt her. She can't be more than 18 months old and is extremely sweet. Way too friendly and comfortable around people to not have been at a pet in the not so distant past. No collar or tag though which is easy I think that she may have been abandoned. Plus, with how much I am working I hate for Bandit to be home alone all day. I don't think he minds it all they much now that he is aging though.
Man. My dogs a snob. I just looked over at him and whistled, and said “ c’mere boy”. He glanced over at me and gave me a look that said “ like I’m gonna listen to a level 3”. Then he licked his balls. I don’t think he respects me.
Anonlol, mine used to lick his balls but after he 120lbs, I had them removed.
Don't feel bad. After reading this I looked over at mine and asked "I'm not a level3 so is that why you don't want to hang out with me" he just rolled his eyes and walked away. I'm not sure but I could swear as he walked away he said, level2, yea your a chump. Wait and see the next time I feed him my broccoli under the table when the wife isn't looking.
I have a chocolate lab and he loves broccoli, collards, carrots... All the green stuff
Yea I have a little sissy dog he's a wenner dog the son of a gun is like a goat he eats everything.
I can't go to the dog park anymore... the memory is too horrifying to recount here.
I dare not even ask....
My dog would have gotten a life sentence for rape if he were a human after our last trip to the off leash dog park.
You only leave REVIEWS for the sources whom you have used their gear for ample amount of time to see and notice positive gains or lack there of. ONLY!!!!. But like my boy DfromPhilly said below, Karma doesn't mean Shit!!! If your here to share and spread knowledge and help your fellow man out, that's what counts that's what gets you RESPECT Not Karma...
This is true and you and I both know it can go quick. The important thing is not quitting. I’ve seen guys go crazy when they loose karma. You can get the karma back but the knowledge you gain belongs to you...
Yea ill admit Pale hit me for 100 I believe and i deserved it and I respected him for it. I apologized for and moved on. I learned my lesson and I'm still here and a better member for it.
Yeah he hit me for 50 or something for going on a rant at a now banned member when I negged the shit out of him. Good times lol
Yea we live and learn and go one to a new day. What I can't figure for the life of me is when guys get karma taken why not just take your spanking and learn from it. Most of these guys that get hit want to piss and moan and argue with the mods and stick their foot so far up their ass in till they can taste the rubber of their shoes, all that does is get even more karma taken or even ban. Why not just say hey man my bad I fucked up and I'm sorry. Take it as learning tool and go the he'll on and try and be a better member. Who knows.
Karma doesn’t mean shit man. I trust and ask some guys with under 50 for advice. Some guys just hang out in the SI’s and you don’t get karma there, but they’re clearly knowledgeable. And a lot of high ranking guys are there cuz they’re helpful, but There are also some that are there cuz you used to be able to get karma for gear pics and they’d post every promo they got in on (luckily that stopped).
Honestly, just contribute and help the community and respect will inherently come. If that comes with karma then “whoopie turtles” (as my fiancées Pap used to say).
Post bloodwork when you try a new batch of test, help guys out in the forum and SIs, leave good reviews... Just stuff that helps people. We should be doing it anyways, not for the karma. if someone gives you a thumbs up for it then there ya go.
I’d be bummed if I was nagative cuz that means I did something dumb or to piss someone off, but aside from that just contribute and you’ll be fine.
Welcome to eroids. And +2 for shits and giggles.
I agree. I like Clayton’s post and at one time he had negative karma.
X2. Him and Riceroni are the two guys that came top of mind.
Well stated
That makes no sense , you obviously review a source you've used , no one is going to order from a source just because he thinks he'll get karma when he reviews that source . There's no point worrying about why you didn't get karma for a review , sorta like people on social media sites who cry if they don't get a shit load of likes when they post a picture haha
Karma comes from alone by being a helpful member of the community. Show your progresses, give solid advices, post interesting and helpful topics, make honest and informative reviews after using gear of a source here etc and NEVER ask for karma.
By the way +1 for this thread without being a whore and begging for karma ;)
there’s some high karma guys who got that way from years back when they would post a pic a day and become level 3 +. Now it’s hard to get phony points they didn’t earn
I trust a handful of guys and some of them I get along with and some dont even like me lol.
interesting and/or informative posts are where it is-
RustyhookerMost of those guys been long gone.
In the past karma was given for gearpics, too. This was changed and imo it was a good decision. Cause many guys posted one gearpic after another and got their karma high, but they weren't still really helpful or trustable with their reviews.
X2
Karma results from helping people here that need it. Whatever your experienced in to give sound advice. Karma is important for a few reasons. One is that the person is vested in the site. I earned my karma and I don't do things against the rules. Also I have spent years here so if someone pm me and says hey I need a little help, people with high karma I trust more and we help each other out when needed. No drama. Be yourself. Don't be some fake momo. Be respectful and learn as much as you can. Aploigize if you make a screw up. We are all here to help one another without killing ourselves. Read the rules and welcome it's kinda like the military. Stay in your karma lane
You don’t leave reviews for karma. Hit the forums and it will take care of itself. There’s several members with low or even negative karma I trust and follow. There’s several with high karma I don’t trust. Karma is a by product of activity. I’ve learned it’s best to never concern yourself with it. It can leave quicker than it comes...
X2 Spot on Sam as usual
Probably the best line in this topic.
Thanks Sam. I will definitely keep this is mind. I Appreciate you, and everyone elses time and feedback.
Uchibah458Contribute in the forums and help folks out when you can, write detailed and honest reviews are 2 ways to boost up your Karma, but in the grand scheme of things, Karma doesnt mean much. I will bet my bottom dollar that there are some low karma members on here who are smarter and have much more to offer than some high ranking karma members, but those low karma members realize this and keep their mouths closed and just lurk, find info and products they need, buy em, and move on. They have no time to argue with others and are too mature/busy for it.
This ^^^
Anon+1 for the dog pic, I like dogs
LMAO.... so let's get a dog pic topping started and shot our karma through the roof
RustyhookerBe honest....thats where it counts. You can lose your integrity fast and it wont go away.
Well said. Also choose your promos wisely. They aren’t free...
The best way to gain karma is by contributing useful advice to the forums. You have to have 50 karma points before you can give them and most sources are not active enough in the forums to gain that level of karma, which is why they can't give it to users leaving reviews. Karma for product reviews typically comes from advanced members reading the reviews and rewarding a quality, in depth review as opposed to the basic "good test" review with no detail. Don't just post a shit load of self pics or review sources strictly for karma. It is very easy to pick up on someone who is reviewing products and sources quicker than they could actually be running the cycles ;-)
Just read the forums, contribute useful information and answer questions when you can and you will move up the ranks just fine. I met a newer guy on here in November of last year and he is approaching level 3 already just because he is a knowledgeable individual and works the hell out of the forums.
Wow,....... sounds like he is contributing. Some people tend to get more involved than other people, guess which one see a larger increase in karma?
There’s some solid new guys.
If we're thinking of the same person, that guy is kind of a dick though, lol.
Hahaha I think we might be ;-)
