Is HGH worth it?

ad

Hey guys, needed some advice from those that have used hgh. Whether you felt the results were worth the money, and what you personally have experienced with what dosage. I have been doing some research over the last couple of months but would like personal feedback from members here as well, particularly in regards to side effects as I'm trying to avoid anything that would detract from my life.

My decision is being based on the fact I have found the compounds and dosages I can cycle with next to no side effects, both when cutting and bulking, and have no desire to increase my doses anytime in the next several years. I'm at the point where I'm happy with my physique and have no need to see drastic changes. So to keep the gains/fat loss/joint health coming slowly and steadily without additional sides, and to improve my body in general, would hgh suit my goals? Was thinking 4iu a day for the better part of the next year. Appreciate any input gentlemen

Well, I definitely haven’t seen the monstrous gains that I’ve heard about since my teenage years, that’s for sure, my days of seeing the guy with the great physique and stating that he must be on HGH are definitely over. Maybe I’ve just never done a high enough dosage to experience that, but at 2-3 iu per day, what I have noticed is great and quick recovery after my workouts, and some really good anti aging effects. I’ve gone up to 5iu per day, but the sides were pretty brutal and counterproductive. You can’t work out hard if you’re exhausted all the time and your hands are numb. At a lower dosage, I feel it’s keeping me looking younger, and I definitely have better endurance and the ability to push harder during workouts. That’s just me though. I’m 52, so it may have better effects on a younger person.

Honestly the rate at which the fat melts of me is night and day. That's always been my draw back to do another run

I always take 6 to 8ius daily first thing in the morning. I can always tell a huge difference when taking gh versus not! Or pre workout with a protein shake!

I ran 4iu a day last year and def saw a difference in the end of my cycle. My skin was healthier, thiner and my diet was able to be a little less strict. It did aid in sleeping but almost too much. I wanted to nap all the time. I went from having sleeping issues to wanting to sleep constantly. I prob wouldnt run it again even if i had the funds. The cost vs. "Gains" dont seem to be worth it imho. I rather spend that money on food and my my other supps. As far as guys saying to spend the money on "pharma" gear.....i dont believe that either. Find a solid and respected source even if its a regular "ugl". Train heavy, rest and eat. Figure out what works for YOU and then run with it bro.

I used it consistently back in 2012. It was bought off my street source. So I got a mixed bag , your Genentech, the bs fake Pfizer stuff and the best of the bunch the hygetropin...... which I stuck with at 2iu a day and 3iu on the weekend for 7 months

I didn't get any hand tingling, no mass gains, what I did get tho was the best condition of my life. fat loss builds up and is localised on the stomach where its injected . for the first time in my life I had a defined and solid 6 pack even tho my diet was far from good.

I'm sure it helped health wise too.

If u can afford it and get a regular supply of good stuff id say its well worth it

Why not try the 8iu*2vials/week? That will be better and more recommended. But, it's just my suggestion.

I seem to agree with alot of the post below far as the effect versus the cost. I believe ugh hs it's benefits far as recovery from injuries of health issues, but as far as gains and muscule for the bodybuilder it is a very very exspensive cost and the only ones I really know of that does this is the ifbb people and not your average Joe. Just my thoughts.

I've been running 4iu daily over the last 6 months. I think it has definitely aided in fat loss and giving my body a look I think I haven't achieved before. My training and diet has also been much better this year so to be honest it's hard to give it all up to the gh. I havent noticed any real side effects except maybe some fluid retention in the beginning but that's well gone.

I'm coming toward the end of my run I have a months supply left or so. I'm going to wait until my bonus at the end of the year to purchase any more because I really can't justify spending as much as it costs to run. I'm going to try to really pay attention to the difference in how I look and feel once I'm off it for a few months

In regards to accelerated healing unfortunately I'm not one of the lucky ones. I have a tear in my left labrum that still gives me problems and I had surgery on my other shoulder late fall last year and it still took me a solid 4mos recovery before I was back in the gym regularly again

Well I like the stuff for a lot of reasons. I can't get the cellophane skin look I love in stage conditioning without it. Nothing else does that. I've used it long enough to say that it does speed recovery between workouts. As part of an advanced peptide protocol it is a must have. Can't talk about that here, but it is in advanced groups. As part of a combination of other things, it helps build mass like nothing else does.

Here is a true story. I tore my distal left biceps tendon about 3 years ago now I think it's been. 50% tear. Surgeon wanted to cut it all the way off and bolt it back on the bone. Would have been out of the gym 6-8 months realistically. I'm sure I could have worked out somehow but it would not have been that productive.

So, I said to the surgeon, "What if I told you I had access to real HGH? Is that worth a shot?" To which he replied, "Well I can't ethically prescribe it to you for this application but yes give it a shot." MRI six weeks later - tendon had scarred over. I could begin to put weight back on it. No surgery. Not much downtime.

"So what's the deal?" I asked the doc. "Well, Mr. X, American medicine just isn't there yet, but congratulations."

True story. So, yeah, I like the stuff. It definitely has it's uses!!!

I ran hgh for about 6 months as part of a contest cycle very small dose only 2iu/day. That small dose worked for my body though. It helped a lot with my conditioning and gave my fat burn a boost. Also helped me sleep better. The only side effect I remember was that it gave me some slight carpel tunnel syndrome but once I came off it went away. Overall I liked it. Too expensive to use again at the moment for me though.

I've been running it for 8 months, I've noticed of results but nothing that made me go holy fucking
Shit.... Kept me a little leaner... Just run cycles bro. I started at 4iu every day for 3 months. Jumped up to 6 for 3 months... Then been running 8 iu for the past months... My nails grow real fast my hair grows fast.... I had a knee injury and a bad wrist. It seems like it might have repaired them. I'm
Back to doing heavy squats and deads.... That's the main reason I started HGH... Unless you got 500 to 1g a month to spend on the good good.... Ehhhh

for me it's been worth it. I'm 53 tho so that may be why. i'm getting much much better sleep and that was a huge issue for me since menopause started a couple years ago. my skin seems better also, but i am very fussy about my skin and keep it in the best shape that i can at all times. Leanness is definite, but I really wasn't looking for that overall--it just happened. Honestly, i didnt' know what to expect when i started but I will probably continue with it although i will have to change brands because the site i got my first batch from is gone.

robb's picture

I've considered it for a while now myself. The only positive Ive heard is it helps sleep and burning off bf, but the last bit is bro science Imo. Not really worth spending hundreds at a time for a decent sleep which I get 90% of the time anyway.

Even if I had thousands spare I doubt I'd buy it, like iron said, spend it on human grade gear.

irongame427's picture

na its not. I run it, idk why anymore. I guess cause I have the money, If times were hard it would be a no brainer to drop it. It really doesnt do anything worth talking about. It doesnt induce hyperplasia, theyve tested it in trained adults and it showed no increase in muscle cells. It does seem to occur in animals, but were not animals. So it doesnt create new muscle cells like everyone thinks, it barely helps one stay leaner, it builds muscle though the increase of igf-1 and protein synthesis just like steroids. Id take that money and put it towards some pharm grade gear. Thats what im buying these days. Oh and it will make you sleep a little deeper, maybe, could be placebo cause everyone repeats it. in 27 and i feel like im fucking 50, so it doesnt make me feel young. pretty worthless and i run basically only pharm grade.

I tend to agree with you. I have ran quite a bit of it since joining here and at varying doses all the way up to short blasts at 10iu per day and I cannot say definitively it has done anything. I do suspect it has helped but not enough to ever justify the cost. Spend that money on high quality food what put you further ahead, I promise.

SlowBro's picture

lol i love that response, "i do suspect it has helped". about the same way i feel about it. food is a great investment, but even more than food there is a lot that you can do with that money that is probably more valuable than GH. invest in a coach, get regular tissue work/ART, chiropractic work, make sure you get bloods done, etc.

Absolutely.

Where do you get your info from? Is this one study or many?

irongame427's picture

Theres a bunch of them out there just do some googling. Then theres others just looking for increase in lean tissue one i read where they had trained guys run decent doses for a good period of time with basically no increase in LBM. Others tested people who have muscle wasting diseaes running 18ius of serostim ed with no change in muscle mass, 18ius ed for like 6-12 months with no increase in muscle. But you know what Gh is key for, it has its place for muscle building when combined. And its good for cutting, i definitely like it when im leaning out. And it produces a type of look thats really I cant replicate without gh.

kh1216's picture

Appreciate the input so far guys. Actually another reason I was looking into it is that my financial situation recently changed for the better and I'm not as concerned about money. But if the results are minimal then I'm not sure I'll bother

SlowBro's picture

HGH is not the wonder drug that it sounds like. its effects are very mild. from an anti aging stand point i hear is great for guys in their 40's and 50's doing 2-3iu/day. i dont have experiance with HGH as an anti aging drug, but thats what i hear. in terms of muscle building and the alleged "hyperplasia" that it can trigger, its not a miracle drug by any means.

it will help keep you a bit more lean, it can help with adding mass over long periods of time, but is it worth the cost? that depends how much cash you have laying around i guess lol. at 27 your natural IGF should be decent, 4iu may not put you too much higher than what your already at.

strong123's picture

You said it right SlowBro. I'm in my mid 40's and its definitely good for anti aging and Fat loss. I am 3 mos in on my first run. I will run 6 full mos minimum before I decide if its worth it...

whodaguy808's picture

I am in the same boat. started out at 4ius for first month now just 2ius upon wakinkg lost 5 lbss and not even training treating an injury atm.

Honestly? And here's where I make myself really popular with our sources. NOPE. Not even close.
