+ 3 I Got the gyno cut out!
Had a slight case of gyno that sort of grew and shrunk over the past 2 years depending on diet so finally had the surgery this past week to be done with it once and for all.
$3,500usd at a top clinic in Singapore. Slight sedation and both sides were removed in about 50minutes time. I was on a plane 4 hours later.
So far healing has been great, I am thinking total down time will only be 14 days and then can start some legs and maybe arm work.
I had a really good expirence, I would recommend that anyone with slight to moderate gyno just get it done sooner than later (obviously from a Dr. who does thousands of cases!) If you wait, they have to remove the fat around it as well as the gland and that is a harsher recovery. If just the gland your in and out and never have to worry about it again.
Just my 2 pennies. I know many people get slight cases and then go back and fourth and try all sorts of anti-E's and other "hacks" to reduce it. If you have a slight case, it is either now or later bros, I for one am glad I didn't wait much longer.

Hey so, last night I took my stitches out. (did myself). I actually did a moderately heavy leg work out 3 days ago and then upper body, minus chest, over the last 2 days. nips are still a bit sore, but otherwise I think looking really good and healing well. I doubt there will be a noticeable scar.
I predicted 14 days downtime but it was actually more like 8. Probably not the wisest, but I wouldn't be on this site if I didn't have a problem right?
Anyway, just wanted to update on my recovery. 8 days post up I was squatting 185kg (405lbs) for multiple sets, then front squats, OHP, bent rows, arms, pulldowns etc.
Going to wait another week at least before trying any direct chest work and possibly dead lifts too.
Thank you for sharing! +1. Recover well, brother, and it sounds like the first steps of "getting back to the gym" went (is going) well. Good work!
RustyhookerGet well soon!! Its good to see folks give real world chatter. Lets folks know that we're not alone
I couldn't agree more about being in shape before the surgery...I had a bad rebound after my wedding when I was in the best shape of my life. Four months later of eating whatever I wanted I gained nearly 30lbs of fat and then chose to have the surgery. It was well with it as far as the results go but I was in so much pain for around three weeks...I never took any meds for the pain but it was a very miserable time...I know I may sound like a wuss because I even had to have help showering the first week. My sides was bruised from top of armpit even some of my arm all the way down to mid stomach! If I could go back and redo everything I would have actually prepped for the surgery just like I would for a competition and try to get really lean but still the results was very much worth the pain I had. It is a life changer! Especially when you are lean and it sticks out like a sore thumb through your shirts.
you are not a wuss. My brother in law had the surgery and they did lipo and he was dying for about 6 weeks. Plus they cut into his pec muscle by accident!! Very bad recover for him. Even today his chest didn't heal well.
I know the good feeling of having this shit removed! good on you for getting it done! For the local European gym bros who want this done. I had mine done a couple of years ago in Poland and it cost me 1400GBP. They did a great job and doesnt look like anything was done. My procedure was mostly gland there wasnt much fat. The hospital used was called clinicforyou. I had to stay a total of 2 nights.
good to hear a lot us have gyno probelms
I'm happy the procedure was successful brother! I'm sure you're happy with the results and all this is behind you! I wish you a speedy recovery and all the best moving foward! +2 for sharing some real life helpful experience!
I hear more and more about good clinics in Singapore! Great that you're fine now and I wish you a well recovery mate. Do you think that the scars will remain visible?
I doubt it. My skin is pretty white so scaring is not usually too much of an issue in general as it might be with darker skinned people. The incision is about the length of a iphone sim card and on the outer upper side.
Well done dude +
In terms of the procedure, did they completely remove it all or leave a little for so called support for the areola?
Yes the Dr. explained he leaves a small portion for that reason (to prevent inverted nipples), but guarantees the remainder can be stimulated all you want but will not respond in any growth.
Gotcya. Very good!
Good for you dude!
