High LDL

ad

So I started my first cycle about a month or so ago and stopped it two weeks in because my doc ordered a lipid panel because a year ago my LDL was a bit high. It was 160 last year. I never really thought much of it and ate how I wanted. Lots of steak, butter, etc...

I stopped my cycle and had about 2 weeks before my bloods and LDL was 189 when I had my results back. HDL was 35. He scheduled a follow up appointment and I'm pretty sure he is going to try to get me on meds. I really don't want to take meds for it and would rather try to get it down by watching my diet. I just started cardio about 2 months ago. I only run a mile about 3-4 times a week. I just did 2.3 miles the other day. That took me about 20 minutes so hopefully I can keep that up.

Question is should I stay away from doing a cycle now until I get it under control? Right now I am just going to keep up on the cardio and cut waaaaay back on red meat, butter, fried crap etc... and add fish oil to my diet. I hope this can take care of it as I don't want to be taking statins.
