Hgh blood test

I'm new to GH and I'm using 4 IU in the morning on an empty stomach. I'd like to know the correct way to get a blood test and what test to do to measure if it's working. I've heard that it has to be applied and the blood collected within a maximum of 30 minutes.

from what I've read and will apply to myself when the time comes:
inject your GH IM - in delts typically - then get tested 3-4 hours later on an empty stomach. IGF-1 levels suffice.
