Half life true or false

ad

It is my understanding that half life is the amount of time that half of a substance is active in the body.
As I interpreted it is as follows;

half life of 100mg product is 10 days.
So on day 10 there will be 50mg of said product remaining,
on day 20 there will be 25mg of said product remaining
on day 30 12.5mg of said product remaining
on day 40 6.25mg of said product remaining
on day 50 3.125mg of said product remaining.

This would explain why Test Enanthate could still be detected months after discontinued.

So here is a monkey wrench for you....How much test is in your system on the first day of the injection?

Then how much is in your system the next day and so on? Finally, how much is on your system on the tenth

day after the 2nd injection and on the twentieth day for your 3rd injection?

These are the questions that will help you build better cycles.

cry_havoc's picture

That's hilarious! I wrote the same program years ago for personal use but do not like the excel platform.
Good response brother!

So once you buy this excel executable do you get to use it over and over? Or is it a one time use?

cry_havoc's picture

That's pretty creative. I like it!

Check this out bud. It will clear up some things.

I used to have a bunch of posts with graphs and everything but the pictures got wiped out by photo bucket.

Your math is off
If you have 100mg and its half life is 10 days then
Day 10 = 50mg
Day 15 = 25mg
Day 20 = 0mg

Do you see the error ?

For the 100mg to last 50 days the half life would have to be 25 days its half of the total life

KMC's picture

er, ummmm, .......... no.

You're thinking that at the end of the second half life there is no more product in your blood stream. That is not how a half life works.

I dont understand the rate
If you have a 100mg and half life is 10 days
Day 10 = 50mg right ?
So 50mg ÷ 10 days is 5 mg a day so in another 10 days 0 would remain unless the rate changes ..

KMC's picture

100mg with a 10 day half life.

Day 0 100mg
Day10 50 mg
Day20 1/2 of days 10 25mg
Day30 1/2 of days 20 12.5mg

hmmm i just drove 14 hours to a remote location perhaps after i get some rest itll click..

twistedsister's picture

Fuck your right i dunno how i never knew that...
the term half life is misleading.
Why then if cyps half life is 7 days does pct begin at 14 days ? I was under the impression the ester had cleared your system

XmadXscientist's picture

I think people sometimes begin too early, especially with higher dose cycles. This is the general bro science standards. I think it’s better to test towards the end to see where your test level is at to determine the best time to start pct. I think this is why some people have a harder and longer recovery.

twistedsister's picture

Makes sense glad this topic came up

giardap's picture

Begin too early and often end too early, notwithstanding the fact that there are outliers who metabolise drugs faster than others, but the same is also true in reverse

The same thinking should be applied to the pct drugs themselves, particularly those SERMS that are in part estrogen agonists!

XmadXscientist's picture

I waited I think a little over 3 weeks my last cycle as it took that long for me test levels to Drop below their normal levels. I ended up running my PCT for six weeks and had a really good recovery. I did this because it was a longer cycle I want to give my body a good shot at getting back to normal.

giardap's picture

My man! Thats a solid way to approach it, love it.

Most people just dont realise how long it takes. Its the same with so many things, hcg lead ins to pct for example. Its so ironic that; even with the proliferation of good knowledge and experience due to tech, literally available at our fingertips..... we still get stuck on the simple things due to an over-reliance on incorrect info that we just cannot shake!

I’ve also been trying to niacin thing to do some things and I think I like it. I’ve noticed that after taking it the size of my veins really decreases which makes me wonder if it’s dropping my blood pressure. I’m gonna check after the shower but I drink a bunch of coffee this morning so who knows. I want to get lab results to see how it’s affecting my lipids and other things.

giardap's picture

Yeah Niacin, if it does what it is supposed to for lipids will be a gamechanger for me. My lipids literally reverse on most cycles... wacky.

I dont know about BP... I am a little conflicted as I felt the opposite; started feeling a pulse in my head during the flush. My BP monitor is rubbish though so I couldnt take an accurate reading to be sure. I definitely noticed the vasod effects though. I thought they were very pronounced (erections etc.) so maybe I dont get the low BP from vasod's whereas you might and it could absolutely make sense too?

XmadXscientist's picture

I don’t know we’ll see. I’ll send you some PMs when I have some updates.

XmadXscientist's picture

Yeah it’s crazy I have some friends at the gym that have been cycling for five or six years before I ever got on and they never went anywhere. Over the course of two years I’ve blown them all away and the sad thing is they think my drugs are better?

Metabolites.

If they are testing you for steroids, they will test you for the metabolites (the compounds that the particular steroids break down into) also.

giardap's picture

Different types of half life
terminal/residence or biological etc

think plasm/blood for effects / side effects and biological for measuring metabolites in a doping test for example

this would be why the really long residence time of metabolites might not necessarily effect the HPHa etc but might get you..... caught!

XmadXscientist's picture

Nailed it!

Apart from my hpha typo lol!

ETA; and plasm typo.... crikey i need some sort of disability magnifier for my phone's keypad!

Could you enlighten me on this a little more?

It never is :(

giardap's picture

We will always be chasing that final 50mg's high!

Sam I Am's picture

That’s true according to everything I’ve read. My real world experience says no. You’ve got docs prescribing one injection of cypinate every two to four weeks following this protacal. We all know you need two injections a week for stable bloods. Just my opinion.

Owes a Review × 1
twistedsister's picture

Agreed one every two weeks doesnt work even one a week doesnt work ... twice a week is more stable blood levels and you can actually have higher test levels with less test imo.

stairmaster's picture

True Sam ! It often varies. Not only by medical products but also at nuclear atoms, I think also other chemicals, especially which are neutrons and protons dependent. Here the to example doesn't work.

stairmaster's picture

right!
