Going to the Dermatologist Today. Any advice, bros?
Ok bros, and sistas too. I have a dermatology appt today to have a little mole on my nose biopsied and tested for malignant cells. Whatever. If I've got skin cancer I'll deal with it. The other thing I CANNOT ABIDE any longer is this goddamned bacne from hell! So, I'll be there today and I need some advice on what I should ask for? NO ACCUTANE, please. That harsh shit is not an option for me. I hate bacne but not bad enough to destroy the rest of my life trying to get rid of it. So, what have you had success with? Doxycycline, tricycline? Something else? I've exhausted all OTC options. Even the prescription 2% Nizoral has actually been making it worse. Hitting up the tanning bed seems to help too and that's another reason I won't do accutane because I'm going somewhere sunny with a beach at the end of this month on vacation with the fam forvthe 1st time ever and I will be out in the sun come hell or high water. Whatcha guys got for me? Appt is at 1:15 EST USA today. Any help before then would be clutch. Thanks!

My daughter had bad acne. We got her everything that is known and none of it worked really well. We then put her on a vitamin regime of Magnesium, Zinc, and D3 it has worked wonders for her. I think her acne was hormone related has vitamin D3 is a hormone as well as a vitamin. In fact is works so well the FDA is looking at making it a prescription no surprise there. All of these are very cheap, I would recommend the NOW brand.
GearofWarI already do 100mg of zinc, and 5000iu D3 ED. Suppose I should just add the magnesium and see how that works out. I use the Nutrigold bran for D3, Now for Zinc and L-Carnitine.
Yeah that is great, I don't know whether the mag will make a difference but you are well dialed in on those other supplements.
Oh ya mino and doxy makes you sensitive to the sun also. Nothing a sun blocker can't counter though. High SPF
Well he's gonna know that it's from steroids so don't be surprised when he mentions it. Minocycline or doxycycline will probably be a option. I would mention something about prescription soap. Brevoxyl is the best but pricey I mean like 80 dollars with insurance so if money is not a factor then try to get that. If money is a factor tell him because they do make prescription soap that's cheaper and also pretty effective. The mino and doxy are pretty reasonable. If you do get put on antibiotics get some probiotics from wal-mart or wherever because you need to replenish the good bacteria that the antibiotics destroy. Good luck brother.

I'll let her make a suggestion and then decide if it sounds good enough to roll with or to suggest something on my own. Thanks for the input.
AnonAre you having your wife to really help you get your back clean? I got some kind of strange smelling liquid soap that required an RX years ago and had to use a long handle brush to really get my back clean but it worked for me. No pills! I'm sorry I cant remember the name.
GearofWarYessir. I've got her employed full time on the weekends for back washing duty lol! I use one of those long handled jobbies on weekdays before work.
