Hello so from what I understand there is a gene in our body's that regulate muscles growth control
it is called myostatin now in some animals there are genetic freaks that do not have this gene turned off

The average serum myostatin declined to 12.6 pg/ml with every subject responding positively! This was a staggering average 46% drop in myostatin from baseline across all subjects! Finally, at the 24-30 hour time point with a mean value of 28.1pg/ml, the average myostatin level completely normalized."
Of course, weight training itself is a natural myostatin inhibitor, and it makes sense. Levels are lower after weight training because myostatin naturally down-regulates in order to offset the fact that muscle is broken down and thus must rebuild.
The key is weight training in the correct way to stimulate the suppression of myostatin. Once training is challenging enough for the muscle, the recovery phase occurs, ushered in by a drop in myostatin. This transient natural drop in myostatin repairs muscles and, when the stimulus is intense enough, results in an increase in muscle size in anticipation of another similar workload.
One study published in 2004 found that healthy male subjects engaged in intense resistance training had a 20% decrease in serum myostatin, which in turn resulted in a 30% gain in strength and a 12% gain in muscle mass over 10 weeks of training. So in terms of muscle gain, anything that drops serum myostatin below 20% of baseline is likely to result in clinically significant muscle gains.
Dietary manipulations will also influence myostatin. The problem is that no one knows precisely how and to what extent. There are animal studies that do point to the efficacy of short-term caloric restriction in helping to down-regulate myostatin as well as efforts to “de-acidify” the body by “alkalinizing” the diet. The current limitations of the dietary approach are simply that we don’t have the human studies to back any particular method. I personally believe that Intermittent Fasting is quite helpful in this regard as suggested by some animal studies. It just makes sense to me, that the body would down-regulate muscle-wasting under this condition.

Mike1982Gene doping? Replace steroids? I wouldn't say that as right now that's all In the developmental/lab phases. And there really isn't one replacing the other as people, without this sites lower aas prices, still have a hard time affording such. You see how pricey HGH is and the debates on the quality/ legitimacy of even pharma grade is under. Just imagine the quandaries over changing your genes will be. And from the info I gathered so far it looks pretty permanent as aas can be cycled down and pct can bring you back to a natural / normal state. So as far as replacing steroids? My guess would be no way. You would have to first be brave enough to even allow the possibility of your genes being not only changed but basically manipulated. Not sure I would want to take that much of a shortcut. Ill stick with my aas and wait for others to "try" that shit out lol. The hard work is half the fun. People who can benefit medically from this would be the ones to need it, I don't think gene doping has a place In the aas/HGH world. To damn risky and too far into the future to even worry about.
