FUCK ME RUNNING!
Ive had my fair share of bad pins, but there is one that has only happened a few times that I just fucking hate, and this morning was my lucky day! its my pharma shit and im at the bottom of the bottle so ive pinned it many times before no problem, its not the BA content this shit is smooth like butter. I was just pinning 1 mil in the glutes so no big deal, I swab my pin and let it sit for a minute to dry all the alcohol off, jab my self and dont feel shit. As soon as I start to pin I know I got a squirter cause that bitch dont want to go in, the plunger is hard as fuck to push. But thats normal shit has happened many times and this is only one mil so I shove it in there, I leave the needle in for a good 30 seconds and pull it out real fast while covering the hole with the other hand and a swab. And thats when it hits me, feels like the worst wasp sting ive every felt, so bad it drops me to my knees and I start getting hot flashes and nausea. I notice that the more preasure I put on the injection site the more pain is shooting down my leg, looking at it I see that it looks like there is a pencil eraser under the skin, a little knot. I know what this is, its happened before and im not worried but mother fucker it hurts and pain doesnt go away for atleast 5 mintues, the knot is still there after an hour and it is turning black and blue and sore as fuck. Im thinking maybe there is a nerve involved with all this dont know but goddamn they suck.

Last week I pinned my calf for the first time to experiment. Let me tell you the same thing happened to me, so I pushed the pin all the way in and aspirated. The fucking syringe filled up with blood fast with alot of pressure too. My forehead was sweating and started over in the shoulder with no pain. Never again in my calf.
I have abnormally large calves they look like bricks attached to my leg. A couple years ago I shattered my left tibula fibula plateau doc had to reconstruct my left leg from knee down in the trauma center 2 weeks after all said and done my left legs looks fucked up compared to right. So I inject left calve and left quad more often. For some reason my calves dont hurt you do have to find the sweet spot, i relax my calve alot avoid the noticeable veins and use a 5/8-1" 25g pin go slow if you feel a little pain once in tilt the pin a little one way or another and continue. Normally that little pain you fill is either a nerve which you will know for sure, or its a vein and most will just push through the vein. I still get impatient some times and go through a little vein but I always know when its one I want to avoid. It also helps avoid pip. Remeber it's not always a straight shot in it doesn't hurt really when your tilting side to side to avoid.
I have pinned calves many times without any pain, but it really is a bad spot to pin, has something to do with muscle fibers being very tight or something another, I have read it and my doc told me not to pin there.
Are your stats correct? Are you really 16 my man? 6'4 125 and 36% bf? Obviously not! But why would you post such a thing?

Your right! The fibers are tight and there's alot of little and big veins and many nerves. I can feel them from time to time I just relocate or tilt to avoid. I do love the calve though if I could only get my left back to size as right.

Hey bro! If you want to live a healthier life on gear bro you truly need to begin pinning. Look I hate fucking needles the site of them used to make me queasy. My first time standing there looking at this fucking 2" 20g monster about made me pass out it took 30min to build up the courage to jab that fucker in my glute. I felt absolutely nothing
no kidding. I got used to it and now I am all over the place quad delts bi pec (ouch) calves. With different size of needles of course and i learned dont use the same one you pull from the vial. It is so much easier. It's not only better on your liver but your kidneys as well. If you do any kind of drinking while on orals you truly are putting your life at risk. Call me crazy but I actually change the pin with a new one after I have drawn it from a vial. That way I know for sure I have a clean sharp with a smooth jab. I actually think the rubber dulls it a little.
If sing bigger guage to pull be carefull to watch out for debri's of rubber that may be sliced off when needle punctures vial. Just happened to me other day. Could see slither if rubber floating in my syringe......Be careful bros!
I had a bad pin the last week when I pinned prop, it didnt hurt when I injected, not even the next day, it was 2 days later and it has been nearly crippling for 4 days, I have had this happen a time or two so im not really worried either but I have been hobbling around like Ive got club fucking feet lol
Im on my second day and my right quad finally started hurting like hell. It was a big stack though. prop winny e400 3cc total. Yesterday pinned prop and winny in right pec and holy shit what a knot that left.
Dude i quit jabbing because of that. I hit nerve once doing a jab and go..... straight to fucking floor. Since then i do an easy slow push once needle breaks skin, its easy going and you will feel it touch a nerve trust me you will know shit starts twitching. Pull back a little and tilt to a different angle if you still hit the nerve pull out and relocate. This just happened to me on my quad the other day. I didnt push through the nerve, i just relocated injection point. I had no problem what so ever. Im just glad I didn't jab and go that time. Cause the fucking quad will put you in a wheel chair for like a week it seems like. Remember always insert needle slowly.
Anonyea brother its a nerve i have done the same thing, you hit that lucky, unlucky spot.. thats why you got those symptoms you spoke of, the black and blue will go away in a few days im sure you know that tho
You swab the needle its self? Or am I reading that wrong? Aren't the needles sterile out of the package?
Yes I do! I figure if im doing the lid on my bottle, the injection site, then why not the needle too? Yeah they are supposed to be sterile but I watched a few abscesses getting cut open on youtube and decided that wasnt for me!
Just make sure you dont pin while it is still wet! :( its no joke! very similar to what I described up top
I always pull dose w/ an 18g.. swap to a 23 or 25g for the pin... swabing a fresh pin will actually contaminate it more than not touching it w/ anything at all. I know you know your shit RN, but.. swabin a fresh unopened pin?!?
Do you use the same pin to pull from the bottle?? There's a few pics w/ an electron microscope floatin around of how dull the needle gets just from going through the rubber stopper 1 time.
I know a few guys that had infections/absess that needed to be opened up.. but they admitedly were re-using pins, just washing them off in alcohol b4 using again.
I use a 20 to pull and 23 to pin.
I have learned to draw with 23g swap out to a fresh 25g for injection and bro the difference is unbelievable. For the weirdest reason just putting the pin through the cork Dulles the needle.
CleyonA couple of weeks ago I hit the sciatic nerve during a pin. It didn't hurt too bad, and I thought it was just an "oops" moment. However when I woke up the next morning I could feel the pain all the way down the back of my hamstring. It hurt like a mother for three days.

Instead of applying pressure when you pin, massage the area. This helps the muscle absorb the product you use. Im not quite sure it involves a nerve because you didn't say you are experiencing numbness/tingling, but I do think you are hitting scar tissue buildup....that's normal if you have been pinning that area for a long time. Work around that certain area of your glute because once scar tissue is there...its there. Not sure if you pin your deltoid, but considering its only 1ml you could use that site...but no more than 1ml there...the muscle is to small to hold more than that.
AnonSame thing happened to me 2 pins ago. It wasn't the first time and most likely won't be the last. But no matter how much you are aware that it can happen nothing really prepares you for it either.

That's exactly what it is!! I get it too. I have had to completely abandon my left delt. I tried hitting at different depths to get around the scar tissue. That only helps for a little while.
