+ 3 First meal help
ad
Your input is needed fella's
I'm in a bid to add some size as never before when running this new cycle which has just started, and as we all know...you need 3 main ingredients to add size...Good gear...got that! Good training programme...got that! Good food...almost got that...
Mrs has her daily routine of getting meals ready and trips to the meat wholesalers, but I'm now sampling different methods for that first important meal of the day...breakfast, as let's admit it isn't always easy to eat at 6am ...
So if you guys can pass a few first meal ideas to me it would be helpful and I'm thinking down the lines of powdered egg whites or liquid egg whites in the mix

Well this morning I just had 4 whole eggs, 2 chicken sausages, 4 rashes of back bacon, organic beans (in natural tomato, no sugar added) with spinach, chilli and feta plus 2 slices of "protein" bread and I'm still hungry. This Bold is some crazy stuff hunger wise. Better make myself some oats.
Eq hunger...raising geocery bills everywhere lol
Hahahaha awesome. And now I've smashed a stack of pancakes (4) with syrup and fruit for a "snack". WTF is going on here. Lol!
Here goes nothing CD1, but it may make you comatose... On my last seefood bulk, this was my go to breakfast most days.
8 whole eggs with garlic, Pancetta, scallion, spinach, scrambled or over easy.
1/2 lb bacon (real bacon, not that turkey cardboard shit)
2 bagels or 4 Crumpets once I discovered those bad boys with spread of choice
Occasionally a baked hash brown or two depending on how hungry I woke up (mind you ghrp6 was involved)
I sometimes subbed out the bacon for sausage to add variety. Then has a cup of oatmeal once I stepped into work.
when are you coming over to cook?
As soon as I get my shit together and start bulking again, I'll make sure to cook an extra breakfast just for you!
That's how you do it. Cook it up, eat and go back to bed.
Thanks fella...
100 percent that's on the menu this Sunday as I'm gonna need a snooze after that bad boy breakfast
Have a cup of some strong coffee to balance it out
that should come in a bit over 1k cals. I think now enjoyable than the actual process of eating that every morning (takes hella long to chew lol) is that epic smell every morning. The dog would synchronize his wake up with mine every morning!
Thanks guys for all your feed back, it's really appreciated...
This week I've been starting the day with:
50g of carbs from oats
300ml of semi skimmed milk
1 banana
4 Strawberry's
2 teaspoons of peanut butter
1 x scoop of whey
All in the blender for about 20 seconds and then consumed over a 5 minute period which also eating a plan bagel
Will give one of the below a try from Sunday onwards and then change each week from there
TryHarder007Switch bafel to whole wheat english muffins. That's just me nothing special but some English muffins with a drizzle of honey oh goodness lol. I'd add in either another half scoop of protein or half cup of eggwhites.
What I'd do is a shame like this:
1/2 cups oatmeal
2cups skim milk (no need for high fats upon waking up)
1scoop protein
2 teaspoons natty PB not some B's Skippy
Strawberries
Banana
1cuo Greek yogurt
Then make 3 Whole eggs and throw them on top of your bagel like a sanwhich lol
TryHarder007Pick up these oatmeal cups. When I get home I'll get the name their oganic real oatmeal cups. Microwave one I pour some sugar free chocolate syrup and mix two scoop of whey in it boom! Good for on the go.
omg that sounds so good
TryHarder007Thats literally how I smile during this prep only from that! It's gotten hot out lately in my city so I've been waking up early about 5am before fasted cardio i mix 1 cup oatmeal, sugar free syrup, and two scoop of chocolate peanut butter protein from true nutrition microwave it. Pour it in a tubberware then chill it. When I'm done with fasted I eat it like a no bake cookie bar almost! Best meal during this prep:)
any special kind of oatmeal ? I am looking to add a meal and some calories and that looks perfect
TryHarder007The old fashioned is perfect. the quick oatmeal's aren't that good for you! I use very little water to get my oats into a mush then as I add the whey I add more water until likts a thick like oatmeal chocolate goodness! Now if you're bulking get some P2 PB and add that to the mix with chocolate pb protein powder.
I am always bulking ;-) and after I started using the whole rolled oats I thought the quick ones tasted terrible so thats not a problem for me and I LOVE LOVE LOVE no bake cookies
TryHarder007Exactly! I HATE oatmeal but a buddy of mine (now an IFBB pro as of Arnold brazil) told me that mixture to get through prep. My coach okayed the change from eggwhites in the morning to 2scoop of protein and got some syrup and goodness this will be a stable in my bulk I'll probably have it 2 times a day!
Goal next off season is hopefully 245 off season weight before I start prep for collegiate nationals!
1 cup whole grain rolled oats
1 tsp cinnamon
(Water or milk) Microwave 2-3 minutes
Then Add:
1 tbsp honey from the farmers market
2-3 tbsp organic chia seeds
1 cup fruit of your choice
Eat up
And ...
1 cup egg whites
1/8 cup almond milk
Microwave 45 seconds, scramble, 30 more seconds
If you want you can do those oats overnight if you'd rather have them ready right away. These two meals that make up my typical breakfast takes me all of 15 min to prepare and eat. Not terrible. Not a lot of people realize you can microwave egg whites and it cooks just like anything else.
Solid 800 cals I think.
My first meal of the day is the same as my post-workout shake.
Remember... After fasting all night, you want something that acts fast, so my shake is Whey, with oats, fruit, and natural peanut butter all mixed in a Vitamix..... That's not just a shake.. it's a meal.
I prefer blueberries and strawberries for the fruit.
Cant go wrong with a cup of oats with apple and banana sliced in it and 2 tblespns natty pb and some maple syrup drizzled on top with a 4egg+1cup eggwhite chopped spinach and mozarella cheese omelette with a tall glass pure squeezed o.j.
one of the fastest and easiest breakfasts out there to make (my go to when bulking or trying to add size)
organic shredded cinnamom wheat cereal (just like frosted mini wheats but theyre organic and have cinnamom instead of frosting, healthier and cinnamom is great for insulin sensitivity)
then for "milk" i do a ratio of liquid egg whites and milk (ratio is up to you. i do 2/3 egg whites/milk)
and milk can be fat free, low fat, or whole depending on macro requirements or preference.
can be made in under 2 minutes. and getting in 150g+ carbs and 50g+ protein is simple!
AND if your bulking with high carb, high protein, low fat using fat free milk will make this breakfast net under ~5g of fat!!!! cereal only has 1g/ serving to 46-48g of carbs, egg whites are fat free and fat free milk has no fat. boom!!!! can even eat a few poptarts with that for added sugar or a can or two of pineapple to spike insulin and you can easily get 200+g of simple/complex carbs and 50+g of protein with under 10g of fat in, in one meal and that one meal is easily made and can be eatin quick before work. under 10minutes to eat since cereal is a "fast paced" meal and doesnt require a lot of chewing
Thanks guys for all your input and I promise these will all be tried
I eat two cups of plain Greek yogurt when I first wake up. That is 44P/18C/0F. Sometimes, I add protein powder for flavoring. Then I come back a couple hours later for eggs, oats, and meat.
Powder egg whites....I wouldn't be hungry at 6am either thinking about that. You are looking to add size here so skip the powdered egg whites and liquid whites. Crack open that whole egg and eat it. The yolk is the best part. Whip up that ham and cheese omlet with a stack of chocolate chip flapjacks and real maple syrup. Don't forget the bacon and sausage either.
4 whole eggs
6 Whites
2 Turkey bacon
2 1/2 serv quick oats
1 1/2 c whole milk
Bannana
1150 calories. Start with that for now.
I like to make Egg muffins. There's a million different recipes online for them. Make a big batch and reheat them each morning. They'll usually last a couple days in the fridge. Then make your oats or whatever else. Sure beats having to make an omelette every morning.
Cheers fella, 100 percent will pass that to the Mrs , not that I'm lazy but she is at home for a reason
NP, I personally like mine with spinach, mushrooms, and onions and turkey bacon every once and while.
