Ebc is build your cycle and smash the competition. Its to build your personal strengths. If a sponsor pops up its after you show n prove you'll do your best. I paid big for my first and did the second regardless. I'm here to prove MY value.
ebc is just a competition to for you to motivate your self and compete against others just like you. gear sponsorship should not be expected. I would do it for the competition, not the gear. best of luck bro, hope u get into the next one, i know all my friends are going into it
the purpose of the ebc is for you to take the gear you have and show the world that it is legit based on upon the gains you made on your cycle. ... When it was started there were no sponsors.. people represented the source that they bought their gear from ... apparently it has morphed into something else
All things do its called evolution. As my father used to say, "lead, follow or get out of the way". Lol....we move with the times or get left behind dear. I know you'll have something cute to say here but it does not change the reality, it was destined to change or it would not have, just that simple.
In all seriousness though, look at any sport, company , profession etc etc, they all change and evolve and you work to make them good at whatever level they are because holding them back is impossible. I love old school back in the day baseball, you played because you loved it not so you could be sponsored by Nike or make 7 figures. It lost "some " of its romance but there's no reason it can't still have some of that as long as we look for the best in it rather than hate it simply because it changed. That's it in a nutshell, some people hate change, any change, they want everything to remain the same. Same people that protest when a bar tries to open in a dry community or a walmart gets to close to their town or we use a lawn mower rather than machette's. Lmao..
I do see your point though seriously and I love the "origin romance" of almost all things but nothing stays the same, everything is in contstant change and we move with it or we get stuck in the past telling stories of how great "the old days were". They were great but I choose to make some new great ones too and if we don't I won't have anything to talk about when I get elderly like .....nevermind ; P

Id say a good way to start would be to talk to sources that you have developed a relationship with.
