Charley Horse?
ad
Anyone ever get a charley horse in the lats? I worked back this morning before work. Then wound up getting charley horses later in the day at the most "inconvenient" times (for lack of a better word). Feedback?

Potassium Gluconate you can pick up at Walmart, CVS, etc. Great way to neutralize cramping.
AnonThanks. Not a chronic problem for me. This particular time was bc I hit back before work. Then sweated my butt off for 3 hrs with no fluids.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkYour welcome I got a cramp in my right lat 2 days ago. I always keep it with me in my gym bag took 2 capsules 45 min later all was good.
AnonWell, this was one of those bastards that would tighten up when moved a certain way. I was in prolly the most inconvenient of positions when it happened (see below, lol)
Lol, thats pretty good!
biggerthanyouCramps. Drink more water. Eat bananas.
AnonMy bad.. I should've been more specific. Yeah, i know what causes them - fluid & electrolyte imbalances. I eat a banana and other fruits almost every morning. Fluid intake could always be better tho. More curious about general converstaions on the topic. I've never had them before in this particular muscle group. Fkn sucked!
That just means u finally got a good back workout bro, my lats always get sore, enjoy the pain lol
AnonYou're lucky. I can never get sore anymore from my back. Got a bad lower back, so bent rows are out. Mostly, it's pull-ups, lat pull downs, seated rows, and unilateral rows. No matter how heavy or hard I go, no soreness. Kind of sucks but at lease the size and strength are there.
This wasn't exactly painful. I know what caused it. Not enough fluids during the work day following my workout. The job I did today has zero air circulation, so needless to say it got HOT demo'ing that particular room. Here's the funny part... Nothing like having you lats tense and lock up on you when you're trying to wipe your fkn ass!! Lol...
i think its just genetics for me, cuz i can never get my chest sore but my lats will be sore after chest day, and u might wanna try higher reps with a little less weight and focus more on squeezing
I hear you about not getting sore. I almost never get sore in my back except lower back from deadlifts.
