Advice from some vets

ad

Good morning,

I have been using AAS since 2013, I am planning my 5th cycle in the near future. I had told my wife I was only going to do one, she is pissed that I am still doing it 2.5 years later. Any advice? We have been married 10 years, don't want to throw my marriage down the toilet, how can I explain to her it is apart of my lifestyle now? She is very stubborn in her ways and believes that you shouldn't put anything forun that has been made in a lab into your body, we eat almost everything organic all the time and gluten free, due to her intolerances/allergies.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Real question. Take time to think it out.
What do you value more your wife or the way of life AAS provides?
What adds more joy to your life SHORT AND LONG term? Now understand I don't mean the compound use itself. Alone that's noyhing. It can provide a piece of the puzzle in this thing we strive for. I just call it the Fit Life. If it's centered around the compound use its the UNfit life. Be honest with yourself and answer those questions you'll have it. Cause no one on here can really do that. You need to take a weekend away from the woman and the weights. Get yourself some solitude. Meditate on it. Peace of mind will come if you make the decision that's right for you. Good luck my man.

Thanks man, I have talked it out with her more and she is fine with it for now. I told her that this is part of of my lifestyle now and I want to be dedicated to a fit life. I was honest with her and have shown her some videos about steroids and the benefit to them if not abused.

rageracing's picture

Im gonna keep it real brother. I let steroids ruin my marriage. I was unhappy with the progress i was making in the gym and wanted to take it to the next level. I didnt lie to her but i did let working out and gear run my life. My whole life started to revolve around gear and the gym. The gains were coming on like a freight train and i lost sight of whats important in life....MY FAMILY. If i had to do it all again i woulda still ran gear but def would have not let the gym consume me. Here i am 3 yrs later after we seperated and my kids are having behavior issues and my wife and i cant even be in the same room without argueing. Do i blame gear for this...ABSOLUTELY NOT. Its all my fault but i should have went about things diff. Best advice i can give is to educate her and DONT LIE TO HER. She is your wife and your partner. Hopefully your honesty will hold some water with her and as long as you dont turn into an asshole lime i did you guys will come to a mutual understanding. Good luck to ya brother

Wow man I will be as mindful as I can when I need to work out, because rarely anything will get in my way and I am quite selfish when I do need to workout. Monday I am starting with on trainer I have met on eroids and I'm excited but i will be more dedicated than ever before, so I will remember your words of advice and try and keep that in the forefront of my mind when it comes time to workout. Thanks man

relationships involve sacrifice, honesty is of utter importance, sit down and explain it to her, be truthful about everything, see how she responds, at the end of the day, if she loves you enough and you make her understand the whole concept, it shouldn't be a huge deal, that being said, if you love her, that's where the sacrifice comes into it, iv'e been with my misses about the same as you, and there is no way i would let my steroid use ruin my relationship, i would stop all together if it affected us that much, see how you go buddy, honesty is a powerful thing, it can actually turn nasty shit into a good thing, just for the simple fact that you told the truth and didn't lie, good luck.

Thanks man.

My advice to anyone reading this is that unless you've been married for 40 years there's really no need to tell anyone. More than once on here I've heard about guys getting divorced and the ex-wife being absolutely thrilled to be able to tell a judge about this shit and use it against them. Women using it to get custody and all kinds of bullshit. Sad sad shit.

petey009's picture

Problem is I was honest with her in the first place and told her that I was going to do one cycle. So she already knows and I was honest with her. But i see what your saying, women can be fucking nasty when they are pissed off, but to use steroids as leverage to get what you want in court.....just plain ridiculous and it really is sad man! I don't think this will turn out in that way, I think she will come around, I have children as well but keep all my gear locked up and far away from my kids.

kodiakGRRL's picture

please don't be offended ... but you were NOT honest with her. According to you, you told her you were only going to do one cycle and that this is many cycles later... So you don't get to be all innocent here ..

petey009's picture

You absolutely correct, I did tell her that I was only going to do one, i also told her I was ordering more items for my next cycle. So I fact I'm not being innocent here at all, I was simply stating how things came about in the beginning when I decided to start. Sorry I didn't add the fact that I have been more honest than I think my wife wanted me to be.

kodiakGRRL's picture

I had told my wife I was only going to do one

You don't get to go back on your word and make it ok because you TOLD her you were ordering more. You renigged on the deal ...

as for being more honest than she wanted there is no other way to be in a mature adult relationship .... A very wise person once told me that if you lie, you will steal, if you steal you will cheat ...

petey009's picture

Listen I'm not here to argue with anyone, I was asking for some other people's advice, not to get into other details of my story.

dudebro's picture

Yeah wasn't long ago at all somebody posted up a forum about how the courts were making him get tested for steroids because his wife told the judge during custody hearings and he didn't know what to do. Think she might change her tune if you were on doctor prescribed trt? I'm not saying to you need to necessarily go on trt but maybe just get a scrip from a doctor and she might see things in a new light.

petey009's picture

Jesus man that's scary shit, after I do my next cycle maybe I will go in to the doc while my T levels are low and tell my Doctor what he needs to hear and maybe she will change her tune, but then again she could say well maybe that because you have been fucking around with roids?? Idk, think I will talk with her first and then if that doesn't work try to get on trt.

Well Ive never been married, and me and my gf havent been together anywhere near as long as 10 years but I would first try to educate her like everyone else says and see if you can change her views, and if that didnt work i would stop. At the end of the day I love working out way more then i love using gear. I had just as much fun when i was natty as i do now on gear. So if my gf wanted me to stop I would. She's much more important to me then using steroids. Believe me being alone with all the juice in the world will not make you even 1/100th as happy as being with the person you love. Money doesn't buy happiness, juice doesnt buy happiness, sharing your life with you're other half does, atleast for me. If she told me I had to stop working out I think there would be problems tho lol. The bodybuilding lifestyle is what i live and its what my day revolves around, id be so lost and bored in life without it. Yes using gear is a lifestyle but the its small compared to the big picture of the overall bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle, eating a certain way going to the gym getting your rest not partying etc, the drugs are just a supplement or tool to the lifestyle you're already living.

My wife does steroids with me lol

very well said.

petey009's picture

Wise words coming from a vet such as yourself, thanks very much for this and I understand and completely agree with you. I will be talking with her sometime his week. Hopefully it goes well, if not I will probably stop juicing all together, but as you said still hit the gym.

kodiakGRRL's picture

you just impressed the hell out of me

"Being on juice is not easy to hide if your doing it right"

That's gold right there.

SenseiMiagi's picture

Set your priorities. No one here can give you an answer. Agree with gymjunkie, dont lie to your wife. Tell her truth, try and explain it, but in the end if she doesnt agree with it....you need to decide which is more important. Her views are her views..not right or wrong.

petey009's picture

Makwa thanks for the advice, I completely 100% agree with you, but when I am "on" a cycle I feel really really good like i am in my 20's again. There is yet to be a test booster on the market that can make you a great sense of well being, unless you know of one i like to try it! Lol. Kh1216 do you remember the name of the HBO documentary is called? Guess I can google it.

Makwa's picture

Provi can make a big difference, especially when on trt.

petey009's picture

I was on proviron during my last cycle of sust and deca. I loved it, first time running it. Although the wife was a bit annoyed because I wanted to get it on everyday no matter what time it was.

kh1216's picture

The quality sucks a bit on that one but that's the video.

petey009's picture

Big thanks, I will watch it before I show it to her.

kh1216's picture

I explained to my girlfriend the science behind everything, showed her some articles, and then that old HBO documentary on the inane political bullshit of why they even became illegal in the first place. She trusts and respects me enough to make my own informed decision. Honestly I have no clue how you'd keep it hidden anyway with all the random bruises on your injection sites and massive fluctuations in weight, mood, and sex drive. The only thing I'm now forbidden from is tren base... Can't handle it lol

Makwa's picture

What is more important? Your wife or pinning some AAS. Should be an easy choice. There is life without AAS. You can still look better than 95% of the population with just a good diet and lifting routine. You don't need to cycle steroids to be fit and in shape.

petey009's picture

Solid advice gensolomon thank you, you may think it is an odd question, but I do know that there are plenty of guys out there in the same situation as I am in and was wondering if anyone that has been through it has some advice.

Gensolomon I am going to take your advice and go with a good ole Google search.

Thanks again

gensolomon's picture

ya you are right, come to think about it, this is very common..... I take that back

kodiakGRRL's picture

organic stuff is still genetically modified and technically that is foreign... how do you think it got gluten free?

gensolomon's picture

This is a very odd question as nobody knows your wife better then yourself and also the level of importance you put on your relationship and what type of moral conduct you deem acceptable or not.

Here are your options

A. don't do any more juice.

B do it but lie and keep secret

C convince her through time effort that juice at a moderate level is not only save but beneficial

I would go with C and start by showing her some articles that promote the importance of having an abundance of hormones in your body and the longevity it can put on your bio-mechanical performance, also show articles the emphasize the amount havoc your body puts up with having low test levels.

GOOGLE search does wonders

showstoppa's picture

Im on trt, she found other bottles and went ape shit, i just dont tell her now and she doesnt ask.

petey009's picture

Didn't mean gumjunkie

petey009's picture

Sorry gymjunkie01

petey009's picture

Gumjunkie, that's the thing is I don't lie to her, I am open about it, but like I said she wants me to quit and I don't want to, told her I would have to think about it! Then I told her one more cycle and I'm done. I guess honesty is the best policy.

petey009's picture

Haha thanks, much appreciated. She just thinks I'm a horney guy all the time anyways! I never tell her when I'm on, and I don't think she knows when I'm on cause she asks me. The only thing is she knows where I keep all my gear, and if she comes across a couple pins, or bottles of test when I told her I quit, she would lose her shit on me.

I don't know I guess I will have to think about it for while, anyone else lie to there wives or simply tell her get over it this is my life now?

Gymjunkie01's picture

don't lie to your wife... sit her down and be open about it lies only will make her distrust you in the future and hurt your relationship. come clean with her and work through it don't keep secrets from eachother

robb's picture

Don't tell her would be an option, or you could just stop althougher. Either way you know your wife best so it's a decision your gonna have to make sooner or later.

Me personally, I could live with lying about it, I'd just not go bulking up typea cycle, keep it lean so there's no questions about sudden weight increase. That libido boost might give it away though...lmao.
