+ 4 Addiction
For the past few weeks I've been spending a lot more time on here and been a little bit more involved than I was in the beginning. As I look throught people's post and comments I've noticed one thing that a lot of us have in common on here other than the use of AAS. It seems to me that most of us were former drug/alcohol addicts. We share a bond other than the iron and the love of our sports. We share a bond that we have taken one bad addiction and traded it for another. The addiction we have now betters ourselves in mind, body and as people in general. I use to be a cocaine addict. That was my shit. I traded it for protien and the gym. We will forever be addicts. That's just the way it is. But let's look back and reflect where we use to be and where we are now. Some of use came from snorting 8-balls all day everyday and some of us came from slamming 12 packs of bud light everyday. Now we have all ended up in the same place. The gym and here on Eroids. Here on Eroids we are more than just a bunch of steroid pumping meat heads. We are a large support group. We're here for each other and for more than just diet advice or cycle advice. We're here for support in general. At this time of year we really need to be thankful for where we are and what we have and what we use to be. Take time to thank your mods for keeping this place up for us addicts. My name is ShreddedChedder and I'm a former drug addict turned into an iron and AAS addict! Merry Christmas to everyone.

Hey guys I'm speaking for myself of course."Bill" tells us to share our experinces in hopes that what we share will help another. Well here is my "experince strength and hope. I too am an addict about 4 years clean now and a avid AAS user. However, I am very cautious of my ASS. I have seen sober/AAS users spend money they don't have or obsess over starting the next cycle. I would argue that this could become just as destrucive as other additions. What has helped me keep these lines clear is the realization the part of my desire to drink and drug was that I didn't like myself. When I started training and using AAS my body started to change and my physical apperance became the measure by which I approved of what I saw in the mirror. The truth is we can't get big enough or lean enough for the outward us to be enough to sustain our sobriety. We have to begin the process of liking ourselves from within, and beginning the journey of healing the emotions, fears and anxieties that caused us not to like ourselves on the first place. Just my two cents fellas. I hope this help someone "just for the day"!!!

AnonSorry. I didn't know we already had a lounge for that. My bad!
its all good.
So weird yiu say this I was thinking about how many of us were junkies and took one substance for another. Instead of.shooting heroin, its ass. I feel like my mind body is clean. I'm very acti e in na and have a year and a half cleN. I would mess up every few weeks for months trying sobriety once I started ass I had no interest in using dope. Only working out ny live forthr gym was rekindled. Feels good to be sober. How many of yall used needles before with other drugs? If yiu don't mind answering.
If you fall down somehow you can stand up again
More than a few of us have gone through the path you've been. I had my own time of being lost in the haze of drug addiction...never again. +1 for changing your life for the better.
AnonThanks, Bro! Happy new year to you too!

I've also been clean and replaced my habit with the gym for the past 1 1/2 years after about 1 1/2 years of relapses. Its extremely hard to overcome.my doc was always oxy(iv) of coarse accompanied by anything and everything else. I'm now married with a child on the way! started my journey at 136 pounds and 3 years later I'm 200+ . fr sent
AnonApproved. I'll be 4 years sober on the 31st of this month. I was doing so much coc that all you had to do was say it and my nose would start bleeding. Maybe from all the times I cut the inside of it with a straw? I've had several of my friends die from the rox. One of my good friends was an amazing model and had everything in front of him. They wanted him to cut weight and someone had some herion. He shot up after they left and and he overdosed 15 minutes later. Nobody heard from him and his dad kicked his door in at his apt 2 days later and found him dead in the floor with the needle still in his arm. Saddest part about that is the year anniversary when he died, his dad blew his head off. 2 people died from one persons addiction. I have to look at it more motivation to stay sober and never go back to what I was.
Thats horrible man. When u look back and think its like what the f was I thinking but I wouldn't take it back cause like u said it makes you into who we are today. We are just fortunate enough to make it through it all. A lot if people are not as lucky. I've had friends pass away and even seen my best friend die and be revived in front of me he would've died if I want there and called for an ambulance. Just keep on brother n never look back.

You will find a common theme of hard drugs and felony convictions between the members of the board which makes since bc this a mostly male aged 18-55 so that's the population involved in the use of anabolics
Personally I am on the other side now and am working towards success but my history is full of strong opiates and benzos to MDMA and a steady tree habit I really believe in be use and abuse and moderation and have been lucky enough to mature now over the past few years and find my peace in other ways now!
But you will find also most are now onto bettering their lives and building their bodies up
Also lots of good knowledge to find here best board online IMO
AnonI have noticed that as well. As long as we continue to better ourselves that's all that should matter. We all know we don't want to go back to that dark side!
