2 a days or working each muscle twice a week?

ad

Ok so I'm currently running my first cycle of test e and test p, on my fourth week and loving it. I'm 23(I know it's young) and I usually work out one body part a day being chest, back, arms etc doing at least 20 minutes of stairs after and abs about 4 times a week, however my question is going to the gym twice a day, or doing each muscle group twice a week (like chest back two times a week just for example) beneficial or not so much? Had a buddy, who doesn't take any gear never has tell me since I'm on gear should be doing each muscle group twice a week at least and that's what BB d0. However I said rest was crucial and just because
I'm not as sore and don't feel it doesn't mean my muscles aren't tired. However i don't know really so wanted to hear what the expects had to say. Thanks!

I tried that in the past while i was on cycle..did'nt seem to benefit me. Definitely overtraining

I've never done a cycle, and i generally work out 6 days a week, squats of some kind every day (heavy, light, pause, partial, front, back, highbar, low bar etc). When you lift that much you automatically start doing each body part more than once a week, the thing is that you learn how to train it. Granted I am more concerned with max strength (powerlifting/strongman hopefully someday) i have noticed some great benifit on how i look doing a program like this. Be smart, train hard, sleep a lot, eat a shit ton.

I usually switch it up every few weeks. Sometimes I will go lift heavy before work, then go lift a different body part heavy after or during work, sometimes I will lift heavy before work and do the same body part later, except do the lighter "toning" lifts for a second workout, sometimes I will just do cardio for my second workout. For me personally, switching everything up like that really helps. Also I've got tiny chest and calves but massive arms and quads syndrome, so I like to hit chest and calves twice a week...

Just experiment with it bro, if u try twice a week, cut your workload down a little. I did twice a week for years and, the last year or so I switched to hitting em only once a week and I love it, cuz I can put so much effort into each body part. I guess it depends on how strong u r and total workload. No problem experimenting and finding out what works best for u, that is what keeps it fresh.

I do each bodypart one about every 8-9 days. If you're trying to add size, working muscle groups twice per week is absolute overtraining for 98% of people. Unless you're a genetic freak (not bloody likely), You're actually going to lose size at some point if you keep overtraining.
I don't know of any IFBB pros who training muscles twice per week, with the rare exception of a few who do extremely light volume training pre-contest in order to keep blood flowing...but trust me, they aren't adding size at that point.
