The reason the mods changed my name is because I was passively promoting myself as a potential source. I friend requested a mod (greg) but never reached out to him to discuss the proper way about becoming a source. Instead, I make stupid forum posts, one where BFG literally told me to grow up. But that didn't deter me, so I made this post too.
I realize now I'll never become a source, no matter what I try to do because, in truth, I'm too imature and cavalier to be trusted with any of your personal information.

There is a process in place to lessen the chance of scams. Many wanna be sources get a little impatient and don't make it to becoming a source on here. Read the Source FAQ. A member with 50+ karma needs to submit you. Ideally a customer but don't make the mistake of offering free gear for a submission. Once submitted, play by the rules (specifically no business talk, no asking members to rep and no offering freebies in return to reviews, etc.). Do that for about 6 months and then contact BFG. See I can tell you are already thinking... there must be a faster way which is why I said many try and fail.
