+ 1 How Lipolysis(Fat Oxidation) works
Here are hormones that initiate fat oxidation they are Testosterone, HGH & IGF-1, Cortisol, Epinephrine, Norepinephrine and LOW Insulin levels ,
because insulin inhibits fat oxidation,
Insulin send glucose(when in excess) to adipose cells for triglyceride storage. Insulin also send Glycogen to Muscle cells.
Insulin also Initiate Protein synthesis, increases uptake of Amino Acids.
Ok now that u kno the hormones you also need to know the other factors, Every heart beat uses a couple Fatty acids. The reason Cardio is called Cardio its cuz it has alot to do with Cardiovascular system(heart, arteries and veins)
So in Order To initiate Lipolysis you need;
1- do Cardio or weight train while insulin is low. Cardio also cuases the release of epinephrine and Norepi, and of course Faster heart rate meaning more fatty acids being used. Cortisol is released after strenuous work outs, Cortisol is a very catabolic hormone so it eats away fat and muscles, and also aids in anti inflammatory and reduce pain.
Injecting synthetic testosterone blocks all Cortisol receptors this is why when cutting it preserves Muscle when dieting and doing Cardio
2- Diet needs to be with carb control as carbs initiate Insulin and Insulin inhibits fat oxidation. and carbs also lower Cortisol. And carbs also inhibit HGh release. HGH & IGF-1 helps burn fat by the means of inhibiting Insulin. This is why cutting crabs or Carb cycling works so well.
So u see there are alot of factors involved to burning that Fat.

waltrCan you give a more scientific explanation? =/
AnonYes 1+1= 1738.9209
waltrI just meant that the post kind of comes across like bro-science but it's actually a very relevant topic for the community, which is why I gave you a +1.
Some more detail and supporting medical studies would be good for everybody who reads it is all I was saying.
btw, 1+1 = two 1's
AnonThanx for the support homie got the read from my anatomy book
Ill try to look for some links to post up
I'm going to have to read up on the cortisol receptor part. It sounds plausible, but I've never really looked into that portion. Cortisol is very catabolic, however, without enough carbs, the cortisol targets fat and not muscle tissue. If this hormone manipulation is used properly, fasted cardio upon waking, fat loss with minimal muscle loss WILL occur. We have to remember that catabolic isn't necessarily bad, depending on the goal. Catabolism isn't muscle tissue specific. Google it if you feel otherwise. Additionally, with that in mind, without enough carbs, fats can't be oxidized completely/properly and the body goes after stored protein. There are a lot of factors, obvious from the post, that have to be considered in every avenue you pursue. As my old trainer once told me, "you have to be a fucking scientist to figure all this shit out."
AnonYou know what your right about Testosterone not lowering cortisol
I thot i read that in pubmed but when i looked for it those readings are all in bodybuilding forums in the pubmeds it says it does not significantly lower ACTH or cortisol good cath bro u kno ur stuff +1
