whats for breakfast besides eggs
ad
After shoveling down eggs and oatmeal for years for breakfast Im looking for new breakfast ideas. If I can throw in something else besides eggs a couple times a week I might be able to cure this gaging effect on this test only cycle. What do you all do for a change up? thought about broiled shrimp

my current breakfast on training days (non-training days remove the juice and cut oats to 50g)
100g oats
30g whey
6 whole eggs
1 bagel with jam
250ml pure orange juice
something with a lot of fiber to get your bowls moving, then some carbs for fuel. Protein is important but in the morning it kind of takes a back burner .
Now after you work out , that is if you hit it in the morning then kill a High protein meal with some good fats.
Greek yogurt! Some brands have 20 grams of protein in one serving!
Mentally I don't get stuck on breakfast foods for breakfast. Yesterday I had chicken and rice mixed with 2 tablespoons of chicken gravy. Today it was a toss-up between extra meaty spaghetti or extra meaty shepherd's pie that I had prepped last night. And I chose the shepherd's pie.
for breakfast
1. i glass of milk
2. sprouts
3. 1 apple
4. 2 eggs
Looking at the question being asked... you should've stopped at 3
I boil 1 cup of skim milk, then throw in 1/4 cup Cream of Rice. After cooking, I stir in one scoop of vanilla whey protein and a cup of triple-0 Oikos peanut butter and banana Greek yogurt.
Tastes good, is fast and easy, and works out to 1g fat, 42g protein, and 20g carbs. 270 calories.
If I'm feeling indulgent, I'll throw in a couple of tbsp peanut butter, but all that really adds is some fat and sugar (tastes gr8 though).
Of course, this is my second breakfast. I eat my eggs and sausages first.
:-)
I eat 8oz ground turkey 1 cup of white rice and 2 tbsp almond butter for breakfast. Thats my lean diet if bulk i add another cup of rice and tbsp pb
i work nights.. so when I get home I'm pretty hungry and tired at same time. ill do a couple sets of bench press before bed, is it ok to eat eggs right before I sleep?
I see no problem with this so long as it fits in with your macros(depending on your goals)
basskiller89How many eggs?
like 4? and maybe drink some Casen?
basskiller89I can't see that being a problem lol
Smoked Salmon on an Everyghing Bagel with cream cheese. Fucking delicious. Thank you Evan Centopani.
basskiller89Last time I had a muffin for breakfast I got "muffin pump" syndrome. The pump was too much for me
I love a good piece of top sirloin and some grits... or fish and grits, pork tenderloin and red roasted potatoes.....ect..
I think oats, milk or juice.
I always eat 4oz greek yougert, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 2 eggs, banana, 2 scoops of o.n. whey in 8 oz skim milk and 4oz of water.
Burger patty with egg whites and 1-2 whole eggs, sometimes I get the peppered turkey bacon at Trader Joe's and some toast (when I've got the time to cook)
Most days, just 12oz milk, 2 scoops whey, one scoop oatmeal and PB blended (depending on needs, I'll use regular whey or even go with a gainer and add a little vanilla ice cream). I'll vary the carb and switch to banana instead of the oatmeal, I can't use both cuz it turns out too thick
If I'm bulking, I'll bake some frozen fries, top with cheese and bacon pieces, topped with a couple eggs
I mix a paleo pancake mix with phase 8 and coconut oil .add blue berries and cook. Two pancakes gives you 30 grams of carbs plus 30 grams of protien and 15 grams of fat mostly mct.Use honey or brown rice syrup and they're very good. For more protien have with some chicken or Greek yogurt. You can also eat with eggs if you want but thought the point was no eggs.
Another good breakfast is musilix with you favorite protien and almond milk, get the kalifa it's more easy on your stomach.Half a cup of the musilix and a scoop of the protien will give you about the same profile as the pancakes.
Note I didn't count the syrup or honey in my first add around 10 grams of low glycemic sugars if you use sparingly.
8 egg whites mixed in with a protein shake plus broccoli swimming in 100g of (grassfed) butter and a tumb of crunchy peanut butter (melted)
That Keto bulk is real folks ;-)
Yum
now can this be egg whites from a carton?
Packet of lean bacon, eggs, beans and sliced steak.
Cup of greek yogurt with a scoop of protein and granola. Its got a good mixture of macros to start your day! Of course this w/ a 6 egg white omlet;-)
Beef and english muffins
Grits and Whole Eggs together -Love em mixed
Vans Waffles and Protein Shake
Brown Rice, Beef, Avocado with salsa
I can keep goin'
I'm a fan of blending a small carton of already separated egg whites with banana and strawberry. Get gets you almost 50 grams of protein, and you can't even taste the egg whites. The carton only cost about $2.00. That's only 14 bucks for a week!
Traditional mixing pb with oatmeal, berries too. I've mixed up some crazy things because of absolute Boardem with breakfast food.
oatmeal,,grits,,,steak,,,eggs,,pancakes
Grits, Steak, and eggs mixed together. My favorite
jzagI'm sure plenty of you already new this, but I just recently discovered the value of cottage cheese. I never new how much protein was in a container of that stuff until just the other day. I paid just over a dollar for a container of low fat cottage cheese which has 90 grams of protein in it. So if I were to eat half of that for breakfast, we're talking about around 60 cents for 45 grams of protein. Compare that to around $2.50 for a 45 gram protein shake. All of a sudden cottage cheese doesn't sound as gross to me as it used to. I tried it this morning with some hot sauce and pepper and it was actually pretty good.
I've also been making Viking's protein shakes for the past couple of weeks. I'll make enough to last me for two days and keep it in a gallon jug. I usually put enough protein powder in there to add up to 200 grams. That was adding up to around $10 a jug just in protein alone. Last night I added a container of cottage cheese and put in half the amount of protein powder as I normally do and it tasted just fine. Cut the cost almost in half. Next time I'm going to add two containers of cottage cheese and just a few scoops of protein powder and see how that tastes.
So, to answer the question, cottage cheese is for breakfast.
Edit: I just went back to the store to buy more cottage cheese and I guess it was on sale the other day because it was around $2.50 for that same container with 90 grams of protein. Still half the price of protein powder.
I'm gonna have to do this. Been Avoiding cottage cheese but the value for content is great. I'll prolly add fresh fruit or honey to it though. I usually do Vikings shake before breakfast and then 4 egg whites and 4 whole with a bowl of oatmeal. I want to replace the second serving of oats with something else, it gets me way too full. I guess the cottage cheese won't make up for the carbs tho.
Oats Greek yogurt eggs fruit
Steak and eggs or a shake consisting of Chocolate Protein, Peanut Butter, 1/2 cup oats, Bananna, crushed ice and a little water. Blend for 20 seconds and good to go.
Zx636RRi eat so many of these damn things, im seriously thinking a small chicken coupe maybe worth while haha..i remove the yolks tho as my family has a history of heart disease and high cholesterol. but hey eat whatever u can in site, shrimp for breakfast i would dig it!!
Idk, i just eat eggs every single day. For some reason i don't get sick of them. Sometimes ill have a a protein shake instead if I'm feeling lazy or short on time. Im weird tho, when i wake up i want breakfast food. Doesnt matter if its 6am or 2pm, i want eggs and stuff like that. But protein pancakes are another option.
Ground sirloin beef. Rice. Hot sauce. Coffee.
I eat egg whites and oatmeal mostly, but I also love a Cup or two of low fat cottage cheese with some sugar free strawberry preserves in it and a couple of apple cinnamon rice cakes.. Yum.. And another one is chocolate fiber one cereal with almond milk and 2 scoops of chocolate whey mixed into a sludge with blueberries on the side.. These are just 2 ideas for yah
Anon...
You all eat so healthy, breakfast is my eat what I want time. Most days it's healthy but if there's some junk in the house this is when I eat it. My favorite breakfast is a breakfast burrito, or a ham and cheese sandwich. I really hate eggs.
0% greek yogurt with fresh fruit. Roughly 30g of protein along with good carbs. light on the stomach and allows a successful workout without having the slow digesting. this makes it perfect if you lift in the am. I also sometimes have a nice shake blended with fresh fruit, protein powder, peanutbutter, milk(depending), olive oil(depending) chia seeds/flax seed. Cheers!
2 peanut butter jelly and banana sandwiches on whole wheat bread and 1 and 1/2 cups no fat yogurt.
Theres no law that says you have to eat eggs for meal 1, chicken for meal 2, turkey for meal3, tuna for meal 4...etc. you can eat whatever good whole food source you want as long as it has enough protein, and cabs for your needs at that time of the day.
Have you tried changing the eggs up some? Throw some fat free cheese on there, salsa, shred chicken up maybe throw in some mushrooms and green peppers. I have the same problem too sometimes ill get sick of eggs and just change up what I put in them and makes a world of difference
SwoleStanhopeI have been alternating between eggs/oats and brown rice/salmon for years now. I have tried steak/brown rice, but steak takes so long to digest, its really not a good choice since I workout in the AM.
