Skincare help!

ad

Hello Women of this website. My skin of late is looking really dull and rough, probably from the lack of using moisturizer.

Do you guys have any tips for glowing skin? certain moisturizers/ foods you eat?

I've been reading a lot about lutein and it's ability to increase elasticity and hydration. I've been taking the oral supplement at 20mg a day. I've also found one product that has lutein for topical use called Bioelements Lutein Indoor Protective Day Creme. It is expensive. I've only been using for about a month and noticed that my skin is much softer.

Here is a link to some information on the effectiveness of lutein. http://www.floraglolutein.com/skin.cfm

I use Aveeno positively radiant facial cleanser and Aveeno lotion on my face and body I think it works pretty good.

Sounds kinda weird but smear honey on your face. Leave it on for a while then rinse. At least it always gave me a quick boost to my glow Smile

another tip a la cosmo a few yrs ago... cut a lemon in half and rub it on elbows and knees to get rid of the wrinkled, ashy look. ...never tried it but just remembered it.

I generally have testy skin -doesn't like a lot or it gets pissed off. I haven't had any personal trouble with breakouts after... which I have a terrible time with breakouts after doing a clay mask. Just my experiences.

honey kills the bacteria that causes acne breakouts... I never remember this one because I hate having anything that feels heavy on my face.. or sticky ... can't imagine honey and not being sticky and ughh.. lol..

So is there any good bacteria that it kills too? I just think the hardest part is not licking it off your own face while you wait ;)

honestly, I can't imagine any good bacteria that would be found on your skin... LOL..do you have a preferece for type of honey?

I haven't tried a variety of honey. You?

actually yes... you can get honey from bees off certain flowers or fruit trees some of it is amazing .. you'll never buy honey from a grocery store again

vitamin shop has any number of ways to detox.. easiest way is using tea.. but they have a shelf full.. almond butter.. good fats.. the omegas.. and mct's like coconut oil ... also if you are up north a humidifier is crucial

I got it ....

what kind of fats are you eating? or are you on a low fat diet? vitamins and detoxing are a must .. as well as a moisturizer and TONER (do not use anything with alcohol in it like sea breeze) ....
