+ 4 My experience with an abscess

ad

So in the middle of a cycle 6 weeks in, on Monday I do a sustonon 250mg test cyp 50mg and mast e 250mg split between my right And left triceps.

The left tricep with 250 sustonon and 50mg of cyp felt fine. The next day it lumped up. I put a clay heating pad to try and break up the lump on Tuesday. Did not feel like is was infected on Tuesday. But Wednesday had some redness warm to the touch.

I popped a aspirin and a aleave. Want to work. I hit the gym mon/Tues/Wednesday.

Thursday I grabed the mesure tape my left arm was 19 inch, I mesure my right hand it was its normal 18 inch grow a little nothing significant.

I go to work. Then after work I walk into an urgent care they tell me go to the emergency room at the hospital it look like a blood clot. I tell him it's an abcess.

Walked into the er body temp 99.4 and bp 136/79. Oxygen 80 percent. The first thing they do is look at the arm. The attending nurse said nope you have to see only doctors. The doctor comes over to look.

He said to the RN PUT AN IV WITH ANTIBIOTICS. He asked me what happened I told him. He said it looks like we need to call the surgeon to see how he feels. Will do sonogram and a cat scan. They gave me two Percocet.

He ordered labs, he told me my kidney is in good health. ( I guess my pre-emptive regiment for organ protection is on point) he said everything was balenced, liver kidney are very good. Only white blood was up.

12 hrs two antibiotics iv in they give me like twenty shots on my left arm to kill the pain. They cut me open. 3 doctors and a surgeon. The surgeon said your lucky it was just beginning not a lot of puss, just a lot of blood. He drained it.

The gave me some supplies to clean it for 3 weeks. Antibiotics for 7 days. My wife will be cleaning the stuffing for me. No gym for 3 weeks.

Craziness. I took all the prevention I always do. I filter all the stuff with a Watson filter 20. Alcohol wipe/ swabs. The surgeon said sometimes you can't do nothing those bacteria are tuff little fuckers.

I got home and tossed all the vails. I will open a new test cyp next week.

My advice to everyone is you know you body. The slight off feeling go to the emergency room. Stay safe.

I always have antibiotics at my house for when needed, just in case. In a shtf type situation antibiotics are worth more than gold.

Look up fish/bird antibiotics online and you can order the same most of the same stuff that doctors prescribe. I order from a site that obviously know people are buying them for their own consumption. Everything is made in arizona and pressed and marked on the pill.

Of course nothing supplants going to a doc when needed/available.

Glad your okay. Lol nothing like the smell of an abcess being drained.

Lilbear's picture

lol it's a smell hard to explain.....

Thanks for the tip. But why buy animals antibiotics when you can human grade from some of the top sources. I personally will always go to the er in these cases.

Lucky 7's picture

Well, they couldnt be sold legally if advertised for people. So the company makes great quality pills, but has to market them as for fish or whatever.

Very informative post, thanks brother, glad you're ok

Lilbear's picture

Thanks

Dickkhead's picture

Glad you are OK bro. That's all that matters. I don't do a full site rotation anymore with upper body small muscle groups like traps, triceps, delts and I take a lot of stuff. The infections and sterile abscess issues always seem to pop up with those muscles. I've never been able to figure out why. Glute abscesses happen for certain although seemingly more seldom for whatever mysterious reason.

Lilbear's picture

Thanks gear head,

That's funny you mentioned that, the surgeon said that 90 percent of the abcess surveys are in the tricep, biceps and a few in the calfs. The others are around the anus or vigina area. But he said why I just don't stick to my glutes or quads. He never gets people on his table for those body parts.

Which I found funny, I knew were he was heading. After we both smiled he said well let's cut you open.

Dickkhead's picture

He's right. You should be able to get just about any cycle done pinning 4 areas. Glutes and ventroglutes right and left. The ventroglutes are the best site on the body. I found a video that shows the ventros nicely.

https://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/ventrogluteal-injectio...

I don't even venture into the quads unless absolutely necessary. Too much vascularity and too many nerves.

Very informative bro. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks pale

Glad to hear you are all good now, that can be some scary shit. I had a bad inject and ended up in the e.r., luckily I only had cellulitis... Speedy recovery bro

Lilbear's picture

The part that freaked me out was when the doctors called a surgeon to come in to see me at 3 am.

The er doctor did not want to show me the cat scan. He rather wake the emergency surgeon. I'm lucky it was not that bad. I do wish it was cellulitis.

I'm glad to hear you pull through. Did the cut you open to drain you?

TheFlash85's picture

you do not wish it was cellulitts bro, you got off easy, cellulitis can kill you, i had it last year, i was on my death bed in hospital, 11 days, lost 11 kilos, chronic muscle/organ spasms, minor cardiac arrest and when i arrived at the er, they could not find a pulse, ( obviously complications) ie- staph turned cellulitis turned septis, but im just saying i would rather have drainage than cellulitis bro, worst pain of my life and ive been stabbed in the stomach 5 times.

this wa from a glute injection bro, glad you are better! good luck.

lilswede's picture

I had cellulitus that turned to mrsa in both biceps spread to my neck under my chin. I was in Intensive Care for 9 days and the hospital for two weeks. Had to go to a wound care clinic every day for 5 weeks to have bandage dressed packed unpacked I had 3" open deep ditches in my biceps for weeks. This was not due to aas, but street drugs. Glad you made a full recovery

TheFlash85's picture

sounds nasty mate, glad you recovered and hope your of the junk. good luck.

Lilbear's picture

Glad that you recovered. Fully. I been stabbed In the arm and close to my kidneys. And this is the worst pain in my life.

TheFlash85's picture

lol well then we both learn 2 lessons, only use good quality trusted gear, and watch out for low flying pocket knives hahahaha, i got what i deserved, i was 19 walking through the city drunk after work with an attitude, asked a gang of middle eastern guys what they were looking at, one of jumped up and said im looking at he place to stab you, then he stabbed the lower left side of my stomach 5 times pmsl, i walked to the hospital which was about 500 metres away hahahahaha.

Lilbear's picture

Dammm Atleast you got a warning of what was to come. I was standing on the street and 3 guys walked behind me on the crosswalk. One stabbed me from behind the other on my arm.

The crazy part was that they thought I was not going to put up a fight. Atleast I broke one of their jaws and he ended in the same hospital I was in. That's how they got busted for trying to rob me.

Bill6191's picture

Nah luckily it didn't come to that. Doctor just looked at it and said he would put me on antibiotics. My leg was really swollen, I could barely stand on it so he also gave me an anti inflammatory steroid for that. Scary shit still. Something I never want to experience again

Lilbear's picture

Glad to hear that it turned out well.

kh1216's picture

Man I had an abcess but I refused to let them slice me up. A week of antibiotics later and I was good to go and never lost a day of gym time. In fact I keep antibiotics on hand at all times now and will pop a course if I ever see swelling or redness out of the ordinary. Just Google fish antibiotics they're human grade just "only for fish" lol

shawn0712's picture

I keep a script of cephalexin on hand these days. I had an abscess I self drained and told the family doc I stuck myself with a finish nail. I know I'm lucky it was so easily treated. These days I try to stay ready just in case.

Lilbear's picture

You might want to get your hands on Augmentin or amox te-k clv 500-125mg
That's the take home antibiotics they gave me.

The Iv antibiotics we can't get your hands on

Lilbear's picture

Abcess are very serious my friend, that's taking a risk. They can spread quickly to other parts of the body.

You do know that the Iv antibiotics they put in your body is only available in the hospital, they don't proscribe that type of antibiotics and are the strongest in the world.

Also how will you what type of bacteria you have and if the antibiotics your taking actually kill your bacteria or viruses.

Yes vet antibiotics will do something but what if it's not enough and the bacteria becomes immunize to your fish antibiotics.

I'm not trying to discredit you or make you feel bad, but think about it. Stay safe.

kh1216's picture

IV antibiotics are rarely needed for a simple abcess/cellulitis. Those are reserved for bacterial meningitis and infections deep within the body like inside the heart, bones etc (endocarditis and osteomyelitis). The bacteria that cause the typical abcess are usually of a similar type, but regardless most antibiotics used are broad spectrum and bacterial immunity is not nearly as common as the news would make you think. It's confined to certain strains such as MRSA and MDRS. The whole reason an abcess is there is because your body has walled it off to prevent further damage. If you catch it with antibiotics before your body walls it off then the blood supply with the antibiotics will still reach it and it will turn out fine

Lilbear's picture

You have a point. But to be on the safe side make sure your antibiotics also target the sleeper cells as well. If the antibiotics don't kill the which in most case it don't you'll have a problem.

I'm always proactive with my injects. At the same time with the frequency we do inject there is always a chance. Knock on wood...nothing in my 16 years of use has gone awry but posts like this bring the importance of deliberate cleanliness...I always inspect the oils under light...if I were to ever feel a foreign feeling days after...I would discard said vial and move on. Sorry for your mishap but keep bangin brother!

Lilbear's picture

Thanks rusty

Lilbear's picture

Appreciate it deca

iFit's picture

Ouch. Glad your okay

Lilbear's picture

Thanks ifit, the part that sucks is the 3 weeks or so that I can't hit the weights. But health is the most important part.

bigead's picture

Damn, what lab?

Lilbear's picture

Can't say it on the open. I highly dought it was the lab, not ruling it out. I have ordered from him for over 4 years no problems.

Plus I refilter ever vial prior to use with a Watson filter 20 microns. The filter could of be defective. Who knows.

It could of been I didn't probably wipe the site or I injected something in the multiple dose vial. We will never know. If you want to know the lab anyways PM me
