+ 7 Adrenal Fatigue

ad

I hope I have posted this in the right spot – if not, apologies, I tried my best!
Having been on eroids for not too long a period, I have had the pleasure of speaking with quite a few good guys.
What struck me however was something myself and a few others had in common. That being Adrenal Fatigue. Not heard of it before? Neither had I until a couple years back when I was sick to the back teeth of feeling constantly tired, sluggish, lethargic. Even If I took a 12-hour sleep, I would wake up tired, groggy headed and always felt like I had never had enough sleep.

I wanted to post this, as I think people who do what we do and live how we live (by we I mean as bodybuilders, guys/girls who take stims, fat burners etc.) are more affected by this condition than they realise. I hope the information is of help to some, who may be able to recognise the symptoms, and get help.
What is Adrenal Fatigue? Essentially, its when someone has pretty much burnt out their adrenal glands, which are the glands that make hormones. Suffers of Adrenal Fatigue are often under huge stress, and their adrenalin and cortisol levels are high. This leads to them not getting a sufficiently restful sleep and a feeling of being permanently alert-ish.

Those suffering longer term Adrenal Fatigue will have low cortisol, and also may experience low blood sugar in the morning (cortisol regulates blood sugar) Your body realises your hungry and forces you to wake up – hence why many who suffer with AF often snack late at night.
Common Symptoms:
• High levels of fatigue each day
• Inability to handle stress
• Craving salty food
• High energy levels in the evening at times
• Weakened immune system

For years I had used a lot of stimulants – caffeine and eph and bits of this and that. Pre workouts, Adderall for when I needed to do a ton of work, eph before training, caffeine and ephedrine if I had a night job to do. Combine that all with heavy, taxing, lifting which fried my CNS and working 50+ hour weeks – it all led to me feeling pretty fucked up.
I had felt constantly tired and fatigued for a few years and thought it was just because I was busy all the time. But I should have never have felt that bad. After a lot of researching, I worked out the AF could be the culprit.
I must add – I did have my bloods done a few times, every time normal. I am not sure if AF can be diagnosed by a doc, as it is not a ‘proven’ medical condition.
Now – I am not in any way affiliated with the product I am about to mention – however during research I had come across a load of good reviews for a product called Adrenal Stress End. Made by a company called Enzymatic. I brought some, ran it for a month. I also focused on my stress – the usual things like breathing exercises, meditation etc.
The difference was night and day for me. I no longer feel so tired, I often get up before my alarm and my energy levels are vastly different and much improved, even for an older guy like myself.

I know of many friends and a few guys on here it seems too, that have had very similar symptoms. The doctors is always the first stop, get checked, have bloodwork done etc. But for those who suspect they may be suffering with AF – definitely look into sorting it out yourself, you will be shocked at the difference in how you feel.

Sorry for the ramble, I just wanted to make people aware, and if this post helps a few guys, then it was worth the time to write.
Thank you
James

This has been a real eye opener for a few of us. I match some of it all the time, most of it most of the time myself!

It is nice to take a break from all those pre-workouts and stims. A couple of weeks without any of that and I always feel recharged and they are more effective when I do start taking them again.

Thanks for the good information. I knew there had to be something to me feeling this way.

Following on from our conversation I really want to just give respect to the fact that you took your time out to consider others here. My bloodwork came out fine a couple of months back but still feel like all the above symptoms- salty food at night and 'wake up' at 11pm!

Here's a general link http://adrenalfatiguesolution.com/adrenal-fatigue-symptoms/

If anything being sold on there I apologise. it's just a link promoting a book (not mine) I think but lists these symptoms, but I take a large amount of Caffeine, Eph, Clen occasionally etc

Other symptoms
There are a large number of other complaints that are associated with Adrenal Fatigue. Many of these are linked directly to one of the more common complaints listed above. Depending on which stage of Adrenal Fatigue you have reached, you may be experiencing a handful or a large number of these symptoms.

The ones with a '*' are what I have

Asthma, allergies or respiratory complaints *
Dark circles under the eyes *
Dizziness *
Dry skin *
Extreme tiredness an hour after exercise *
Frequent urination
Joint pain
Lines in your fingertips
Loss of muscle tone
Low blood pressure
Low blood sugar
Low sex drive
Lower back pain *
Numbness in your fingers / Poor circulation *
Weight gain

Keep up the good work mate
