My first cycle. Test only.

ad
STATS, DESCRIPTION, GOALS

Hi!
I'm 25, 5'11 and 185 lbs. I have a solid base from the past 5 years of consistant training. This is going to be my first cycle, and as you can see it's test based, and also includes AI, HCG, nolva and clomid. I'm expecting at least 20 lbs of lean muscle gain from this cycle. AI starts from week 4, and ends right before PCT. I will get my mid cycle bloodwork at week 6 or 7 depending on my schedule, and adjust my AI dosage according to the results. I'm still not quite sure whether HCG is necessary, and would definitely like some advice. Also, I've read different opinions on dosage of clomid. Some say going beyond 50 a day won't have any additional benefit and could increase the chance of side effects. So I guess I will just start out with 100 a day and immediately drop it down to 50 if any side effect shows up. I have had my pre cycle bloodwork done, and as you can see my test level is at 499, estradiol at 30.6.
My training split:
Mon:Lower body(Heavy)
Tue: Upper body(Heavy)
Wed: Rest
Thurs:Lower body(Light)
Fri: Push(Light)
Sat:Pull(Light)
Sun:Rest
I'm currently consuming 4160 calories a day, with 604g carbs, 210g protein, and 112g fat. I'll gradually increase my calories based on my progress during cycle.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm happy to join the community, and hope to contribute as much as I can.

8.28 Update
So I changed the 10 week plan into a 12 week plan. Also I removed the HCG, but I might add it back if I experience significant testicular atrophy. And I have been gradually increasing my caloric intake. Right now I'm on 4544 cal, 280g protein, 680 g carbs, and 78g fat. Feeling good. No sides.

PRE CYCLE PIC:

Those high numbers on your blood work is not good, see a doctor before you start a cycle.

FR sent.

Thank you sir. I have already did my first pin 2 days ago but I'm definitely going to talk to a doctor about the high numbers you mentioned.

IrishMack's picture

High RBC is due to low oxygen levels in your blood and could be a sign of kidney issues too. It could also explain why you are holding so much sodium unless you are eating a lot of processed foods or lots of salt. Keep yourself safe. Did you have an infection? Your lymph is elevated and so is a few of your other blood platelets.

hzl1108's picture

And no, I didn't have an infection.

IrishMack's picture

The high lymph usually means you had an infection because it's the bodies response to it. I'm good at reading bloods because I have an overactive immune system that attacks my body sometimes and had to get bloods almost every week when I was younger. But seriously go see your PCP and have him run a full blood panel and it might explain some of those numbers. Request an FBE or a CBC.

hzl1108's picture

Yes actually before my first pin I stopped training for a week and ate a whole week of cheat meals that included a whole lot of processed foods. It basically was a deload week where I relaxed and recovered as much as I possibly could and ate whatever I wanted, so that I'm fully ready for the coming 10 weeks of consistent training. I think that has something to do with the high numbers but I'm not sure. I will talk to a doctor soon. Thank you again. Greatly appreciated.

Found your pic there. Looks like you are starting from a pretty good base. Hopefully there is some muscle on those legs too. I would actually run the cycle out to 12 weeks. Any reason you chose 10 wks?
HCG, I am not a big fan of it, really unneccesary for a cycle like this. Just adding another level of complexity that you don't need for a first cycle. Adjust that diet a little bit and be sure to be hitting at least 750 cals above your TDEE. If you are not gaining weight the way you like to keep bumping up the cals until you are satisfied. It all going to depend on your metabolism. Starting out lean you will have good nutrient partitioning so be sure to eat enough. 20lbs of lean mass in one cycle is a pretty tall order, you ae probably looking at a total weight gain of 30-35 lbs to get there, but who knows at least it is something to shoot for.
Good luck

Look at his blood work one more time, there are some alarms sounding. Might not be a good idea to start any cycle until he discusses his possible thyroid, high RBC, and sodium levels as well as other low areas.

Gh0st's picture

I wouldn't say alarming.. some mild abnormals for sure. Both sodium and rbc can be mildly elevated with simple dehydration. No thyroid levels that I can see? Always good to have abnormals checked by PCP though before starting anything. I would imagine a redraw CBC is probably good enough. The elevated lymphs again are very mild and usually representative of a viral infection, but his WBC is normal and assuming he's nonsymptomatic doc wont think anything of it.

Thank you sir!
There really wasn't any special reason why I chose 10 wks other than trying to minimize side effects as much as possible and making the post cycle recovery as smooth as possible. I just turned 25 couple weeks ago so I'm still quite young and I don't want to risk permanent HPTA shutdown.
HAHA well my legs have always been my weak point. I will work hard on them during this cycle.
Again, thank you for your advice! Smile

How long have you been on that diet for? Have you been gaining any weight from it? You should get that protein closer to 300g. I would like to see you put on some more weight naturally. You are pretty light to start cycling given your height, unless you have a pretty low bodyfat. What is your bodyfat at?

Catalyst's picture

You know what Mak? The lad is in decent shape, built a base, (makes a change these days). Its a solid 185lbs from the pic.

To the OP I say go for it. Hcg not needed IMO, AI use probably a bit high, but you'll need to see how you react to exogenous test. Different for each of us.

Best of luck, eat well and you'll do fine. +2 for doing your homework first and coming in with a sensible plan.

Thanks man. Greatly appreciated Smile

My bodyfat is at around 11%. As you can tell in my picture I don't really have a high BF....
I've been gradually increasing my calories over this past year, and yes I've been gaining weight from it. I've been training since I was 20.
Thanks for your advice. I'll increase my protein intake. Smile
