Lean Body Mass

ad
STATS, DESCRIPTION, GOALS

****edit****
I have decided against a cycle at this point, and rather focus on time management to get myself back in the gym and maintain consistency training. Thank you everyone for your critique and comments. I guess I knew it was a bad idea, but sometimes you just need to hear it from others.

I haven't really been at the gym for over five months now due to an injury and various personal reasons. I was at 185lbs with 12% body fat on September 2022. Now I am at 190 lbs 19.8% body fat. My goal is get my body fat back to 12% by regular exercise and proper diet. And once my weight loss goal is reached to do the cycle below to enhance lean body mass. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. This would be my first time using trenbolone enathate and drostanolone enathate. I know that trenbolone is not recommended for newbies. But in my defense I am not a spring chicken anymore and would like to explore other anabolics other than testosterone and anavar. I would also include 500 mg of TUDCA per day while on cycle. And refrain from any partake of alcohol during both phases.

PRE CYCLE PIC:

I hear you. And it has been really hard now that I have little kids. I don't have a specific diet plan other than intermittent fasting and staying away from empty calories. And I haven't even been doing the intermittent fasting lately because my wife and I decided it was detrimental that I set the proper eating habits for my little kids ages 1 & 2. If they don't see daddy eat, they don't eat as much or if they don't see daddy trying out the food too they won't try it either. So I have to set the example for them. But you got me on that one, if you have a great diet please share it with me. And I don't even know if intermittent fasting is recommended during a cycle. I know it is great for men but not necessarily for women and children. But no clue if it is recommended while on cycle. Does anyone know? Can someone chime in on this?

Look into Makwas forum topics on diet and nutrition.

Plenty of mass to add naturally especially in the upper body. You can achieve so much more before jumping into AAS. I agree with diesel but if you aren’t willing to wait a year at least go another 6 months and then hop on a test only cycle at 300 mgs a week for 12 weeks. Your frame can gain plenty of more mass naturally.

I absolutely agree with you. My upper body needs work. My lower body has always been more impressive than my upper body. I guess it is genetics. When I lift, my upper body gets stronger but doesn't gain much mass. And my lower body won't lose much mass even if I don't workout, but it will be so weak.

Also, last point from me, The more lean mass you gain the lower your BF gets. I’d like to see 15 pound lean gain before you touch AAS.

That’s actually preferred. Do lots of wide grip pull-ups, shrugs, wide grip incline and bent over rows. All of those workouts will widen your frame. I’d also look to build your upper chest with strict incline barbell press, dumbbell pullovers and cable/dumbbell flies. My issue is the exact opposite, my upper body is good despite my arms but my legs are naturally skinny like the rest of my family. I rather have your issues than mine because I feel upper body is easier to grow than legs.

Make sure you hit traps real hard with face pulls and reverse shrugs to hit the back of the traps.

Thank you for the workout tips. You helped me realize that I need to further explore and continually educate myself with all the different exercise techniques. I don't have a workout partner to spot me so I don't use barbells for my chest routine. Do you think that incline dumbbell press would be a viable substitute for the incline barbell press?

simonmagus84's picture

Absolutely. I actually only do dumbbells on a higher incline and don’t even touch barbell. Dumbbells are definitely my preferred choice and overall better for growing and preventing injury. I wonder how much I can actually bench…

The reverse shrugs you mention, which type is it? I looked it up and there are three types. First one is also called behind the back barbell shrugs. Second one is performed on top bars. And the third type is done on a chin up bar or lat pull down bar.

Reverse shrugs with barbell
Hex bar
Seated dumbell shrugs leaning slightly forward

Upright rows alternating with barbell, curl bar and cables.

Got it, thank you.

This will not end well judging from your self pic,and fact that you've been out the gym for 5+ months due to injury etc. Now you want to come back and jump on test/mast/tren....I highly advise against that. Lift naturally for a year straight, consistently and with diet on point. Then revisit considering a cycle. Good luck and take care

Thank you for your advice and comments. I was going to workout and lift naturally to get to 12% body fat and then jump on the cycle. I think I can achieve that goal in about 3-4 months. Which would mean that I would be able to jump on the cycle early as June this year.

If you say so bro.

Again....You have been out of the gym for last 5 months cause of being injured. Now you assume it's safe to jump on cycle just after 3/4 months of lifting, after returning from doing nothing last 5 months as a result of being injured....you will end up again injured and find yourself back at square 1. Your tendons and ligaments and your body is not at all ready for what your attempting to put it through, but you know best. Take care and wish you well as I understand you are going to do what you wish and have your mind set.

Thank you for your concern. I absolutely understand your point and your frustration. To clarify the injury set me back 6 weeks, it was a deep contusion on my leg from a falI that occurred due to stairs of a picnic platform collapsing . The rest of the time of not going to the gym was due to work and family issues. I haven't been "exercising" but at the same time I haven't been sedentary (although one could beg to differ from the above posted pics). I have been hiking hills/mountains with my kids and play with them at the park. But regardless I have to admit that you are right. Maybe back in my 20's I could have bounced back in 3-4 months. But now that I have re-evaluated I don't think I want to necessarily put that much stress on my body and risk injury. I would hate to not be able to play with my kids due to another injury. I am healthy in terms of blood pressure and cholesterol levels according to blood work done last month. But I also want to "look" healthier and more importantly feel healthier. I don't think I need gear to achieve that goal. And from what I am hearing tren does not make you feel healthy. So don't feel frustrated, your words have not fallen on deaf ears. But I do have my mind set on getting myself back in the gym and working out for 60- 90 minutes at least 4 times a week. Or is that too aggressive? Think I should cut that down?

Jayzgainz's picture

Good on you for posting a picture bro but you don't look ready to run gear. Even if you are as old as you say you are you have a lot of growth that can occur without tons of shit. If I were you, I would eat to get big. Not hamburgers and crap but follow a strict bulking diet, work out hard, lift heavy like you are training for a power lifting meet. I would bet you see a massive improvement. When you are ready for a cycle run just test. I'm gonna say this is your 1st cycle correct? Again, not to be a dick but you don't look like you have run a cycle before. Or if you did you didn't get anything from it. I'm happy to help with a Training program with you because at one time I did lift heavy shit, and if you are dead set on a cycle do yourself a favor and stick to just test. If you do it right and your diet is hood you will be amazed at the results.

Thank you for the advice. My plan was to jump on the cycle after my weight loss goal of 12% body fat was achieved naturally. Are you saying that I should try to get achieve better results than that naturally before I jump on a cycle?
