Beginners Cycle

72 inches, 190 lbs, 19% body fat.
Goal is to maintain 190 lbs but lose 10% body fat. Also want 18 inch arms (14 starting), but I don't expect that this cycle.

Running .5 mg Adex EOD. forgot to add that to the list. PCT starts 30 Sep.

I'm not running this cycle to cut. My main focus is to add size to my upper body. I have been trying to add size to my arms and chest for two years now and am not happy with my natural limit. I have a pic of where I'm at now in my profile. Biggest my arms have been is 17 inches and that was 7 months in AFG (alot of time in the Gym, perfect diet.)

Not really to worried about the BF because if I don't eat like bull everyday I start dropping BF instantly. Unfortunately that means im not always making the healthiest diet choices in favor of keeping the calorie intake up. One of my good buddies told me not to worry to much about that though. Obviously, Im trying to bring it down but right now size is my main concern.

My error...head up butt. Make sure your ai is run during hcg as hcg converts to estro. I wouldn't run hcg til week 4.

You aren't gonna be losing bodyfat with Dbol that's for sure. The only way you can get that BF down is through heavy, heavy clean dieting day-in/day-out 365 24/7, with maybe a cheat day ONE day of the week where you throw some caution into the wind!!

The BEST way to do this is to run a carb depleted diet. So you weigh 190, okay...well 19% on the bodyfay though, HOWEVER...190lbs., so I would say you can hit the carbs from wake-up till about 1pm, if you workout later, a lil' waxy maize in your protein shake post-workout is alrite. Considering your higher BF, I would stay away from dextrose and other simple sugars post-workout...spiking your insulin really isn't in your best interest when trying to lose some fat.
BUT!!!...from morning till 1pm, based on your weight I would hit a total of 100g carbs PERIOD. Losing bodyfat is a battle, and it takes time. You kinda want it to though as your skin will need to conform to your body slowly...if it's rapid, you will be more prone to stretch marks. THEE trick here though is to eat, eaT, eAT, EAT TONS of protein to keep your body in an anabolic growth state. Again, 190lbs....you wanna take in at least 2grams of protein per lb....so 380g protein, shit make it 400+ eating say 8 meals/day would give you 50grams of protein pre meal. Make most of the protein a rotation of sources too, mostly food and NOT all shakes! Vary up your meats and dairy, shit like that. That's about the best advice I can give ya.

I was doing low carb very seriously and was very lean, but another friend of mine whos been in the game a long time said I wouldn't build muscle as quick without high carbs too.

Also, whats the deal with protein bars. Due to my schedule I'm having a hard time cooking every meal. I try to cook a bunch when I have time and package it for later, but I can never make it fast enough. Every one is all about shakes, but what about bars.

I'd like to replace prolly about 600 calories a day (out of about 3000) with low carb option protein bars. Is there a reason more people aren't into bars?

Well, the thing with protein bars is that they are alot "dirtier" than shakes. Dirty in the sense that they are either loaded with sugar or sugar alcohols, they can be mostly soy protein, and the carbs like maltodextrin aren't really the best carbs.

Now we all know to stay away from sugar for what it does to you, but sugar alcohols aren't much better. It's hydrogenated sugar, and maybe it might be a lil' easier on your glycemic levels...they have the potential to give your GI tract a rumble or two of uncomfort. Lots of side effect:, gas, bloating, cramps just to name a few. Shakes are more versatile anyways...got a blender and you can throw whatever you want in 'em...protein powder, fiber, fruit, nuts, peanut butter, egg whites, cottage cheese, yogurt, spinach!!, even waxy maize if you want, the list can be whatever. You can get creative and you'd be surprised how good it really can taste.

There are some decent bars out there few and far between...I was just looking at a decent one today that I never saw before. New product, gluten free, lower carbs, hardly any sugar lots of fiber...I'll have to go look at them again and can let you know the name so you can look for them. I really don't like bars for lots of reasons, but this one perked my curiousity to try it...just hope it tastes okay.

Bam! And it's proven that soy mimics estrogen! I travel all day and dip whey shakes and chicken. Tread posted great report on homemade jerkey. Carb up with oatmeal and complex carbs so its not turned to fat.

Ya know what?...I have been reading some newer research suggesting that your post-workout shake is recommended to contain whey, SOY, and casein. Astonishing...maybe, maybe not?
Due to the facts that the combination of proteins will keep your amino acid levels stabilized for hours, like up to 5. Whey is fast at elevating amino levels, soy is in the middle, and casein is slow. Alledgedly having no sudden dips in your amino acid pool is ideal. Honestly it makes sense...I just don't know though...I mean, I am just not feeling the soy. Currently I do whey and about 10g casein PWO...good enough. Food sources of protein is still the best though Blum 3

It seems like a double edged sword. On the one hand, you have a mid range protein in the period of digestion, but on the other, there is that estrogen factor. Where is the tradeoff? Is the extended period of AA levels worth the amount of estrogen converted? Instinctively I feel like any excess estrogen is bad, but is it worth the AA's? I've also heard it hasnt been proven to produce estrogen in males. Any insight?

Honestly, the research IS conflicting. Ya know, a lil' soy isn't gonna hurt ya...it's awfully difficult avoiding ALL soy in your diet. Soy is in everything...or cross-contaminated with it...I can almost guarantee your whey has some soy in it, even if it says it doesn't, it's crazy really. I think the best thing to do is to avoid it as much as possible, but here and there...it's not gonna make you grow a set of tits.

NOW, if you made soy protein your SOLE SOURCE of protein...well, that would be a different story; in large amounts for extended periods...YES!!!, for a MALE it is not a good thing as it will for surely lower your T and raise your estro. This older bodybuilder at the gym had high cholesterol and switched to soy protein for close to a year...and his natty T levels dropped pretty low...in the one hundreds...YIKES!!! His doc blamed it on the soy!!!

Double edged sword...absolutely. Like I said, I'll stick with whey and casein in the end. I need more proof that soy doesn't raise estro levels.

Diet and cardio for fat loss. I lose weight much easier than I gain it. Took about a year to push from 170 to 190 but I'm not seeing lean muscle mass like I would like. Hence the Test to help persuade some size.

Which then goes back to diet. Not diet as in starve. Here.diet simply means eating correctly to both grow and lean up prior to start. Bf will mess with both and you'll yoyo the juice cycle. Also changing workout routine to grow. Every six werks change routine drastically. Heavy 8-10 to failure......10sets of ten.....4sets pyramid mixed with drop sets etc

Yup. Yoyo down with some gains........lose gains and bf up....hit juice and drop fat with some gains as yo yoyo down. Rinse wash repeat. Your diet n training is bad. Thats chevk number one.

But since you're already on cycle......my work here is done

Meaning that if you don't eat properly on cycle you'll have to do extra hard for good gains and if you don't eat correctly after cycle all gains go away. Like a yoyo....you'll gain n loose by cycle . Your food will need to fit all the new muscles.
