+ 2 Best way to get ongoing medications prescribed in the U.S.?

Hi everyone,

I recently moved to the U.S. and I’m still figuring out how prescriptions work here.

I’d like to be prepared for a cycle and have some of the medications I’ve used before on hand, such as telmisartan, bisoprolol, rosuvastatin, and Ursosan/ursodiol.

What is usually the easiest way to get these prescriptions in the U.S.? At the moment, I’m not sure whether my current numbers would be enough for a doctor to prescribe all of them.

Would you recommend simply seeing a primary-care doctor after getting blood work and documenting elevated BP, or are there other routes people use here?

I searched the forum but couldn’t find much about this. If there’s already a relevant thread, please point me in the right direction.

Thank you, and respectfully.

Ageless Rx has a telmisartan and atorvastatin program that painless to get on just online questionnaire. Once I got that script I used an call-on-doc to push for 90day supply with refills since you have an active script they don’t question it. And canceled the ageless longevity program

TelyRX is your best bet. It's all online.

Tely is the best! No talking explaining or anything like that. Just give them money and get prescribed. I Use them for cialis, telmisartan, propanolol, ezetimibe, rosu.

Do you need supporting documentation like high ldl labs to get approved?

J5imz's picture

They didn't ask me to provide anything at all other than shipping information and payment. I had to wait for approval for a day tho.

If you have documentation showing a previous prescription for these medications from a primary care physician whether or not that physician was in a different country you can likely get your current PCP to prescribe the meds without undergoing the whole process of diagnosing the conditions and prescribing treatment. Explain to your new PCP that you have a blood pressure condition, show them the prescriptions from your previous doctor, and ask if they will write a new script for them. I have done this with medications in the past and my doctor and insurance were fine with it. If you have shitty insurance - welcome to the US where most of us have shitty insurance! - then the insurance company might reject the new scripts in the absence of new diagnostics to support the prescriptions. Good luck! It is a broken and damnable system we have.

No doctor is gonna give you medication's that you could start just in case your potential future .steroid cycle. Most people on here are probably hesitant to talk to their doctor about steroid use, however, there's no reason you shouldn't, unless you're trying to get life insurance, it's not going to have a negative impact. Most doctors have zero fucking clue about steroids, but in terms of blood pressure management, you couldn't do better.

I have been successfully diagnosing and treating myself for the typical bodybuilder issues, and I love using TelyRx for my scripts now. I get rosuvastatin, nebivolol, and ezetimibe from there and i'm about to add telmisartan. I've been using indian telmisartan and it's time to make it easier and get refills. I became an affiliate with GoodLabs and I consistently get 20% off my bloodwork.

Telryx is great, I switched to just buying all my ancillaries and prescriptions straight from India though, so much cheaper.

How do you consistently get 20% off? Do share please

Every time one of my friends or clients uses my discount code with GoodLabs, I am issued a 20% discount. They build up over time, so I have a bank of 20% discounts I can use anytime I want to get my bloods done. Getting the code was as easy as applying for it.

Oh yea…. I don’t have friends lol I got my 20% off referring my wife when she wanted to get some done. Then I was out of people to refer. Sometimes I wish I had a community of likeminded people but I have my own gym and just do my thing solo. Tried having workout partners but they always end up flaking and stop showing up. So I gave up on them

Since I’m new here, I did some research on different labs and services.

MitoHealth looked like a pretty good and affordable option for bloodwork. In my state, they use Quest or Labcorp facilities, but the prices are ridiculously low compared to most of the other options I found.

I already tried it myself and had no issues. I got my results both in my Quest account and on the MitoHealth website.

There is a $9/month membership fee, and to cancel it you have to contact support, which is probably the main catch. Other than that, it’s the cheapest option I’ve found and actually tested myself, so I can recommend it based on my experience.

I can also share my referral link if anyone wants it, although I’m honestly not even sure what the referral benefits are lol.

Yea idk. It’s for bloodwork which we should all be promoting more of. Let’s find out.

@Greg would it be against the rules if he posted his discount code to buy bloodwork from GoodLabs?

Greg's picture

No, that's perfectly fine.

QPRWPN will get you 20% off at GoodLabs! I’m stoked to spread the love! ❤️

I just called a teledoc. Strategically picked blood markers from various tests and shared them. And told them I had moved, hadn’t found a new PCP to continue my prescriptions, and that I used to take XYZ medications and needed new scripts. Make sure you say it’s been over a year since you’ve been prescribed them. I’m not sure how extensive their database is, but they can look up all your scripts within the last year in the US. Don’t know if this counts if you haven’t been living here. But best to just be safe and push it out past a year. Then I had them submit the script to Amazon pharmacy and now it just gets delivered to my door every month for $5 (cost with my insurance yours might differ)

I got an appointment with a doctor that I found on Zocdoc and he prescribed me Ezetimibe, prescription omega 3, and cialis. Transferred to Amazon. He didn’t even ask for the bloodwork.

Awesome. I take the prescription EPA (isocapent ethyl). 2 1g capsules twice per day for a total of 4g. Absolutely nuked my triglycerides. Sure is lovely having sub 50 triglycerides and sub 50 ldl while running 100mg of anadrol a day. They drop below 30 when I’m on cruise.

silly goose's picture

Thanks, that’s really helpful. Seems much simpler once you know the process.

TeaBody's picture

If this doesn't work, then there are websites that will give you scripts on the spot and you can order what you need. Ie) Telerx

Prices are not bad, use Chat GPT to get the best promo codes.. ie) 30% off first order or whatever

Interesting, sounds easier than teledoc. Do they usually ask for labs or old prescriptions, or is the questionnaire enough?

TeaBody's picture

nope... you order, and a doctor will prescribe it overnight. They didnt call me, email or nothing.

One uses insurance one does not. You’ll pay significantly more through those websites. For example: icosapent ethyl 120 capsule - teledoc with ins $5, telyrx no ins $142

They are pretty reasonable.
