Ripping a muscle like that scares the fuck out of me, especially in the chest or bicep.
I got a minor tear in my right pec. Been dealing with it for about a year and a half. It's just refusing to heal! And I was laid up for over a year with my ankle and lower leg. I'm just now getting back to where I was post accident and the burning sensation of the tear is back. Definitely sucks bro!
Where is the tear mate? I had a grade 1.5 running down the centre of my left pec - had to give it a good 4 weeks rest before even doing a warm up with it otherwise it kept retearing.
It's underlying Press. It starts in the middle of my right pec and can feel it almost completely across my chest to the shoulder. I have to push really hard to feel it. I truly never had it checked out but I know it's gotta be some kind of tear simply because I know what a tear feels like. I ripped a muscle in my scapula years back. Same feeling, only in my chest. I assume it's a micro tear because it doesn't necessarily affect my lifting all that much other than I know I must keep perfect form as to not make it worse. Burns like all hell though! And I feel it most doing stretching lifts like cable flies or just flies period. I've had it for years now and have managed to keep it from getting worse. But I also only use dumbbells with strict form now. Haven't used a bar to bench in decades.
Good news is that my chest doesn't require much stimulation to grow these days. My chest is kinda genetically gifted. I do the least sets of chest day. I just go fairly heavy with strict form. I've always kinda felt like my chest steals the show, ya know? I'm always trying to bring up other body parts for symmetry. I do feel it on shoulder days as well, particularly when doing side laterals.
What exercise were you doing bud? Done mine twice on deads, second time was worse. Didn't use Peptides and it took about 8 weeks to heal. Massive bruise all over back of leg after 24 to 48 hours - DON'T bandage it up, let the blood flow normally. Unfortunately pal it will kill when you get up and down every time - especially going for a dump! Leave it well alone for at least 3 weeks is what I did.
The machine where you lay on your stomach and bring your heel to ass… it doesn’t hurt to put weight on it. I definitely didn’t tear ir, I would be on a lot more pain. I iced it already. No bruising or budges….. maybe a week or 2. I hate skipping legs
