Well it finally happened mate after all these years - I've fucked my RTC. Nearly full width tear of supraspinatus so currently hanging tight on a surgery date. I honestly thought I'd got away with that area bud seen as its taken 12 years of non stop heavy benching to do it. I can't risk it tearing all the way through pal and not being able to move my arm out to the side, so if I lift it has to be light - so in other words it does fuck all for your physique LOL You ever had RTC issues?
Not the end of the world brother! I completely sheard off the 4 muscles that make up your rotator cuff, and went 7 months before getting the surgery. Spent 6 weeks in a sling, 8 weeks physical therapy after that, then the real work started. Best advice I can give you is don't be a bitch in physical therapy (you don't seem like the type that would be, just sayin). I made them push me to my limit every single day I was there, and took the at home protocols they gave me seriously. I ended getting about 95% range of motion back when my doc said the best I could hope for after a tear like that would be about 70%. I'd say it took about a year to get my strength back. It was my dominant arm, and as far as brute strength goes its still stronger than my left, but it's definitely note quite as stable. Just something to be aware of when you get to that point. Blast some fuckin KLOW and collagen peptides while you're recovering as well, no shit like going through a vial every 5-7 days. Shit is like magic for that type of shit.

This is the best part, I did damage to it here and there over the years, usual heavy lifting shit probably just like you. The final straw was walking into a coffee shop on a rainy day in flip flops. Feet slid on from under me, like both feet up in the air almost back flip, and landed right on my shoulder right around the spot where all those tendons tie in. To this day its probably the worst pain I've ever felt, and I broke my leg and shattered my ankle at the same time. Someone walked up to help me up and all I could say was DON'T. FUCKING. TOUCH ME. as I just laid on the ground and tried not to throw up. As far as movement, I asked my doc the exact same thing after he gave me the mri results, he said every other muscle in that general area had just been over compensating to carry the load. I was hard-headed and thought it would get better on its own. Slipped in March, MRI in October, surgery in November. This was back in 2018 when I still knew everything and was stupid af.
