Ironman in October: Worth Adding MOTS-C / BPC-157 / TB-500 for Endurance + Recovery?
I’ve got a marathon coming up in August and Ironman in October and I’m looking to level up recovery and endurance a bit. Curious what people here actually recommend (or don’t).
I’m currently fully natural / clean and not taking anything performance-related right now.
Training load is already pretty aggressive:
Running 6x/week
Heavy weight training 6x/week
Sauna daily
Cold plunge regularly
Sleep / nutrition are dialed in
So the base is already there. I’m not looking for shortcuts, just trying to optimize recovery, durability, and maybe get a slight edge in aerobic performance going into the marathon block.
Lately I’ve been reading more about peptides and keep seeing the same 3 come up: MOTS-C, BPC-157 and TB-500.
For context, I’m not injured right now. No major issues. This would be more of a performance + recovery optimization play going into marathon prep, not rehab from a specific injury.
Not looking for bro-science marketing, more interested in real-world experience from endurance athletes who’ve actually run these and can say whether they were worth the cost / risk.

I ran the tb500 and bpc-157 together for my shoulders. Pretty amazing results and I did notice quick recovery between splits a few months in. Both shoulders are back to no pain as well. They get sore of course but no pain. Id have to say if someone is running these for a decent amount of time you would notice the crazy recovery between splits I dropped them for my 8bweek blast because it would be a little less pinning. Next blast I will be at least 8 weeks deep into these two peptides to help with recovery.
That peptide stack is mainly to help Tendon and ligament recovery. Doing weights 6 times per week seems like lunacy to me, there is no way you are fully recovering from it with 1 rest day per week.
unseen423I'm not an endurance athlete, but I can say that adding Cardarine into my stack greatly improved my endurance in my cardio (30-45 min runs and jiujitsu). I haven't found much benefit from BPC & TB500 for recovery and durability. MOTS-C I use for a slight energy boost in the mornings. I would think that GH would be a better tool for optimizing recovery and durability.
What dosage do you recommend Cardarine? How many weeks before my ironman should I start it?
