+ 1 OOKEE Ring Sleep Oxygen Monitor – Worth It (Especially on Cycle)

ad

My biggest issue in my progression has been poor sleep quality.

You hear a lot of influencers and podcasters say that if your sleep is bad, you can basically forget about making progress. The reality for me has been the opposite, my sleep has sucked the entire time I’ve been training, and I made the decision early on that I wasn’t going to quit regardless. But I know I would have seen better results with better sleep.
That said, I do want to fix it, for all the right reasons. Not just performance, but long-term health and brain health, especially at my age.

Between increased bodyweight, thicker neck, higher RBC/hematocrit, and CNS stimulation from certain compounds, it’s not uncommon for PEDs to make sleep apnea or nighttime oxygen issues worse, even if you didn’t have a problem before.

I’ve dealt with sleep apnea for a while and couldn’t tolerate CPAP. I actually went all in and had an Inspire device implanted. For those who don’t know, Inspire is basically a pacemaker-sized device implanted in your chest, with a wire that runs up under your chin and stimulates your airway/tongue to move forward while you sleep, helping keep the airway open. I just had this device activated and I am adjusting settings, because as you’ll see in my O2 report from last night, I am still having O2 issues. (I'm worried that after going through this invasive option, I'll still have O2 issues going forward).

With the Lookee, I started with it set to alert me when O2 dropped below 90%, but it was buzzing constantly. I dropped it down to 80% so I could actually see what’s going on across the full night without getting woken up every few minutes.

It’s obviously not a replacement for treatment, but from a data and awareness standpoint, it’s been extremely useful, especially when trying to manage CPAP or Inspire devices. It might help you dial in compounds, dosing, or anything that might be affecting sleep quality.

Honestly, I think a lot of guys are probably having O2 drops at night and don’t even realize it.

Anyone else tracking sleep or O2 while on cycle? What are you seeing?
