+ 5 Physique Update after 5 Years

ad

I last posted a pic of myself about 5 years ago from at the time thinking I should hop on a cycle. Old pic I was 6’2” @ 215#, new pic from yesterday I’m at 204#. From the feedback I got at the time of my prior post I never did go on one and instead focused on maximizing my TRT and nutrition.

Over the years I have varied my TRT dose anywhere from 100 mg a week (felt like total dogshit) up to 300 mg a week (which is amazing) to get a good feel of how I handle different doses of T along with checking bloods along the way for E2 sides. Lots of different workout routines through the years and most recently on a 5 day a week PPL split. I’m still working through an ankle sprain that hasn’t healed right so my running has been on hiatus for a few months, and is also effecting my ability to push it on deadlifts.

Current 1RMs is 255 bench / 300 squat / 320 dead.

Today I’m currently running:
Test Cyp 300mg/week
HCG: 250 IU eod
Reta: 4mg/week
HGH: 4IU daily

Reta was a game changer for me on stopping the food noise I’d have whenever trying to cut. It’s made it a hell of a lot easier to target ~2200 cals/day and not want to gnaw off my arm.

Current plan is to stay the course with dropping BF% to keep leaning out while trying to preserve or make minor gains in muscle mass. I think I’m around 13-14% today. Once I get around 10% I plan on going on a bulking cycle with food first - I’m undecided if I want to push my T dose much higher. I just bumped it up to 300 a couple weeks ago to see how I do at this new level. I think I still have gains on the table with where I am for the time being and don’t really need to push it much higher.

Week over week it’s small gains in the gym with strength continuing to build and I haven’t hit any plateaus yet. My weight has flatlined but my pants keep getting looser. Any other suggestions on what I should or shouldn’t be doing?

Nice progress! Keep it up, bud!

If your strength is still going up but your weight loss has plateaued I would suggest holding the course. If you're feeling flat and gym performance/strength has declined, then it might be time to pause the cut and push your carbs up - keep protein consistent (for your bodyweight, 200-250g a day is sufficient) and fats low (below 80g, closer to 50-60 is better) and move carbs to 200-300g per day for a few weeks. After a reset and refeed that doesn't add any additional body fat, you can go back to your deficit, and you'll probably feel better.

Great work!

Don’t worry about your weight at all. I’ve lost 5lbs in 12 weeks which sounds like nothing but I’m up 25lbs LBM and down 30lbs of bodyfat. Of your pants get looser that’s the best gauge. I just had to buy new shorts size medium, 30s lol at 6’1 200lbs and they are a little loose. I was bursting out of my 36s before. If you want to lose more weight just drop your calories. I started at 2200 and I’m down to 1800 now and still gaining muscle, 240 grams protein 100 carbs and 50 fats, if your taking gear, eating right and training hard then done worry about losing muscle from cutting calories or upping low intensity cardio, walking incline
