A 4 year old vial - Is that how you look at it??!! I can tell you now that when doing promo's its likely you will get vials that more often or not will be in their final year of use because they are coming near to EXP date. These steroid vials are as sterile as sterile can be - if they aren't then you will get an infection immediately after it is manufactured anyway so the time since they were made really has nothing to do with anything. There are labs that will give 5 to 6 year shelf lives too, not just 4 years.

I get your concern brother, but just to clarify … in pharma, most compounds don’t magically “expire” the way food does. That date is mainly a regulatory requirement, not a chemical death sentence. If a vial was properly brewed, sterile, and stored correctly (cool, dark, dry), it doesn’t suddenly go bad the day it hits the printed date.
Worst-case scenario with very old or badly stored gear is some potency loss, not toxicity. The actual risk is contamination, not “expiration” itself … and that comes down to brewing quality and storage, not the calendar.
Would I pin something that’s 4+ years old if I didn’t trust the lab? No.
Would I pin an “expired” vial from a trusted, clean source that’s been stored right? Without hesitation.
But comfort matters. If you’re not comfortable, you’re not comfortable … that’s fair. Just saying: expiration date ≠ unsafe by default.
