ad

After 1.5 months of doing exercises and trying to
Hope my shoulder heals on its own like in the past, it just wouldn’t . So got an MRI and found out why. It’s been 3 days since surgery but I’m going to bust ass in physical therapy combined with PRP, bpc-157, and growth hormone…. Cheers to a speedy recovery!!!!

Well, it is now December 4 and it’s been over two months since I had my surgery and it’s crazy the pain that I’m still in. It’s not severe pain but at night when I lay in bed. It’s just a dull aching pain and then anytime I try to do any physical therapy type stuff. It hurts- no lucky I’m not soft and I fight through it. LMAO but I realize that’s a part of the recovery process is getting through the pain and pushing through it as long as you don’t reinjure yourself, but it’s just not progressing as quickly as I would like and I have trouble doing simple things like pulling my pants up , picking stuff up with my left hand and Im a personal trainer, so at work I’m unable to show my clients how to do certain exercises that involve using both of my hands so that sucks but I’m trying to stay positive, but I haven’t took this long of a break from working out since 2019 when I quit working out from a drug addiction Relapse so I’d like to get back in the gym as soon as possible. Have a good day. Thank you everyone for the comments

Respect, brother … that’s a rough setback, but you’re handling it the right way. Surgery + PT + PRP + BPC + GH is already a serious healing stack.
If you want to push recovery even further, TB-500 pairs really well with BPC for soft tissue repair. On the mental side, something like Semax or Selank can help keep focus and mood steady … sometimes the hardest part isn’t the injury, it’s staying sharp while you’re sidelined (been there myself).
Heal it once, heal it right, and you’ll come back stronger. Wishing you a smooth recovery and a beast return.

The mental part is already killing me. Like I feel fat, and bloated , and small and weak. I’m going to use this 4 to 5 months to focus on cardio and legs …..

I know its easier said than done because I've been there too with injuries and bad illnesses, but the key part in getting through it all is acceptance of your current situation and realising there is nothing you can do about it right now. Pretty much all of us have been through this in our lifting careers at some point and its just a part of the training journey. You also have the comfort in knowing that at some point you WILL be recovered and will be able to lift again. Yes its a pain in the arse to think you will have to build back up, but in all honesty when that time arrives and you get the green light to train again you will just be so fuckin glad and happy to be feeling good, to have your appeitite back and to be riding the adrenaline buzz you get from lifting that you won't care about having to graft for several months. When you have the simple little things taken away from you in life for a while and then you get them back again, it makes you so much more appreciative and humble about the things you are able to do that others can't.

When I was very ill for 6 weeks at the beginning of the year with what I thought was just going to be 10 days of hell that ended up turning into 6 weeks of insanity, I really did wonder if I was every going to be well enough to train again and when mentally I could even face lifting a weight. Once I stopped fighting the feeling of feeling pissed off all the time and wondering why it had to be me that was feeling like this, things became much better and I found that in fact as long as I filled my time with other little things to do then the days really weren't all that bad with no training in them.

I would do just are you are planning to do, which is to get really fit again and train legs, when you go back to lifting being able to breathe more efficiently and handle more volume then it will greatly benefit your training no end. This period will be over before you know it Good

Wow thank you brother. That’s a great outlook. I bet you’re right about that “hunger” returning after not being able to lift. I appreciate your encouragement

The only peptide I am using is bpc157. PRP is an injection provided by the surgeon (out of pocket of course because insurance doesn’t cover it) platelet-rich plasma. I think it probably was a minor tear that I lifted through (because we are dumb and that’s what some of us do) and I was shoulder pressing and immediately I knew. My left arm was weaker, less steady , and a sharp shooting pain. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I’m going to take my time recovering, because the gym is life.

Think I heard vigorous Steve talking about starting healing peptides to soon after surgery you create scar tissue and it makes the healing process even longer.

Damn - a torn Labrum is no joke!!! How did you manage to do that or was it years of wear and tear? There is another member that did this on here but I haven't heard from him in quite a while - you really have to be patient and let it heal afterwards. Gotta refrain from benching and squats.

I believe he just did about 6 months of Leg pressing, seated calf raises and anything else lower body.

I also had a slap tear years ago and underwent surgery as well. I was out for around 5 months from doing the things I normally do but I am really curious if the peptides speed it up for you bro! Good luck in your recovery and keep us updated
