This is one of the most interesting lineups we’ve seen in a while now. Honestly the space has begun to feel a little bit dry, but seeing Gaethje is fighting is all I need to know there’s going to be a bloodbath! If you don’t known Justin Gaethje he is legitimately one of the toughest and relentless dudes in the whole sport. Has legs like steel and the chin of a heavyweight. He gets in there ready to die, but he was supposed to be fighting Dan Hooker- another established fighter who would’ve been a very entertaining match. He pulled and got replaced last minute by Rafael Fiziev- a very different type of fighter from Kazakhstan. Going to be a tough one as his training camp was focused on a very different style.

We also get to see Alex Pereira in a title fight against Magomed Ankalaev which will be very interesting styles clashing. If pereira can keep distance I’d give him the edge, but you never know with fights like this. Magomed is a very well rounded Russian menace!

Poor Bobby Green is getting fed to a tiger. 32-16 Boddy is fighting a much younger 11-1 Mauricio Ruffy. The betting line is crazy on this one.

Curtis Blaydes is going to make for an interesting prelim against Rizvan Kuniev. Should be a slug fest with these big boys.

Honorable mention is Alex Morono(24-11) vs. Carlos Leal Miranda(21-6). Morono has ran into some issues recently and the odds are absolutely insane if you’re a betting man!!! Morono (+575) Miranda (-775)!!
Anyone who doesn’t understand betting odds in these terms here’s a slight breakdown- if you best $100 on Morono you’d get $575 or $10=$57.75. If you bet on Miranda you’d have to put up $775 to win $100.

Overall a pretty interesting card and there’s going to be some good fights. Always love to see Gaethje battle.

Who are yall looking forward to seeing?

Any predictions? News I missed or updates?

Anybody else watch these fights?! Some boring but damn some battles in there! This was an entertaining one boys & girls.

The spinning wheel kick from Ruffy was insane. Absolutely slept a Green a long time veteran.

Justin always puts on a show and I think deserve the unanimous.

I like to watch Alex fight, but ankalev got the best of him!

Blaydes m, the Chilean dude, gaethje and ankalev. For those who think Ankalev can’t win are Casuals. I think he gets the submission win.

Blaydes is only 34!! Damn I felt like he was much older. Haven’t watched ufc in a couple years. It’ll be fun to get back into it and see what all these new fighters are up too.

Man this is gonna be a great night. Green and justin fights should be battles, hell all of them are going to be amazing. Especially that if ankalaev stands like he claims instead of wrestling.

smurfdude1234567's picture

Right?! Some all out wars! Green is older but is NO slouch. Justin is just a fucking machine- dude lives for the battle and truly puts it all out there.

Man I am really hoping so. Dude has the skills to do it, but I think once Alex catches him with his weirdly timed kickboxing strikes he’s going to want to change it up real quick.

It’ll be a good night for sure!

Wasn't Pereira suppose to fight Jon Jons?

smurfdude1234567's picture

Nah, some talks but Pereira is a Light Heavyweight and Jon moved up to Heavyweight past couple of years. Nobody wants it with bones jones hahaha.

Actually depending on how Pereira does here he may end up moving up, but only time will tell!

DeeMan's picture

There was some heavyweight who they said Jon needed to fight. Can't remember the name

mountainman000's picture

Jon wants to fight Alex Pereira for a monster light heavyweight fight. Most people want Jon to fight the top insane heavyweight Tom Aspinall the interim champ. Tom is a monster! You can watch all his fights in less than a total of like 10 minutes or less something like that.

smurfdude1234567's picture

Not sure. He’s wiped the floor with all of them even stepping up. Retired Francis the hardest puncher ever in UFC history, Ciryl Gane, Stipe, etc. nobody has came truly close. The #1 ranked under Jones right now is Tom Aspinall, but he’d kill him too. Ciryl is still #2.

Jones is just dangerous man! There’s a ton of reasons, but I say he is the best UFC fighter that’s ever existed. Of course he is fucked up and has ran into some legal trouble, but anyone that deep into a fighting sport and able to love hurting in that way probably has some issues haha.

Amazing fighter to watch though. Even at 240+ he moves close to how he did at 205

I think they said Gane. But when Jons was a newbie to the UFC I told my brother after seeing him stop some guy with elbows that one day he would be champ but I didn't know he'd be the greatest. He's the greatest I agree

smurfdude1234567's picture

Oh yeah hand to hand only I’d put money on him against pretty much anyone on this planet.

Mid 2023 he obliterated Gane Rd.1 2:04- maybe they want a rematch.

See y'all know more about the happenings than I do. And you're right they did fight but man there was another guy, maybe an up coming guy, not sure. Now if wanna talk boxing that's all me
