+ 8 My Gratitude
I don’t realize this often, until I’m rocketed back to reality.
I
I then realized today I’m grateful to live in the Country we do. We may not be the most thorough well oiled machine we once were but death isn’t looming over my head everyday. Even on my worst day . The amount of death and evil outside of our borders is appalling and needs to be recognized
I lose my ability to stay positive and grateful rather quickly due to the circumstance IVE PUT MYSELF In, however my worst day out here, in the USA is nothing compared to most countries I can think of,
Grateful for my job, phone, internet, food, free gym membership and my co workers who put up with my nut ass
This belongs in the recovery lounge topic just want to hear people’s view on gratitude ..

Nice post Duckman
I needed to see this thanks. But we’re close to losing freedoms. Could happen in one generation
Did you say your co workers let you nut in their ass? Damn! "Merica indeed!
Sheesh with chuckthaduck’s load the whole company is about to be on a cycle….
He's got more gear than feathers on his body! That's that damn duckman
And limping for days because of the PIP. @press1 was telling me it is worse than using a 15-gage needle.
Bahahaha
They’re pussies , they’re afraid that someone is gonna find out they would shoot test, I know the dude Chris G has to be on test, benching 345 for reps and he’s solid 220 7%
Once you start being open about it you’d be surprised how many dudes day to day are enhanced in some type of way. Whether they’ll be honest about it or not…. Maybe.
I am still amazed how many dudes on gear but don't even look like it at my locall gyms. Never would have known that until I became open about it myself.
I’m always honest. The conversation is usually…
Damn man, how much do you bench?
Not as much as you’d think.
You have big arms, how do I get mine like that?
I have good genetics for them
Do you take steroids?
Yes
Oh
They told me if I come lift when them at this guy Sean’s house I have to bring a gift in order to use the “rig”
They know I have mad extra gear they too afraid to ask for help
Yes brother. The simple freedom to speak about what’s wrong is glorious. People are being jailed all around the world in 1st world countries for offering criticism of their respective governments.
I love America and I recognize that there is much work to be done, but I’m here for it. Criticizing an entity you belong to while not offering any solutions is the lowest form of critique.
Europe has free health care and doesn't let you die on the street or go broke with astronomical healthcare bills. My gratitude for living in europe and not the US.
Clogged countries like yours with more social welfare programs nothing is free, your taxes are 15-20% higher across the board , paying for someone’s negligence , should I pay I for your college tuition too??
I mean…. if you’re offering….
my wallet is open
I agree with you Chuck! I am a religous man, and when I hear other religous people say how bad this country is getting, and how they think the end of times is near, I often get frustrated. They think it's getting bad here? Compared to other parts of the world, we are living in candyland. I have two brothers in special operations. One of them told me about finding a warehouse where kids were being violated and tortured. This was in Somalia.
My point is that people forget that it has always been terrible in another part of the world. We truly are blessed to live in this awesome country.
When it comes to gratitude, I feel like it comes easy to me in how I show it towards other people. Gratitude towards myself? Still yet to figure that out man!
We take so much for granted day to day! Taking that extra second and realizing how lucky we are is a huge eye opener when you think your own life is getting hard.
Grateful to know you guys and have access to this wonderful community!
This community really is awesome. It is wild how much info and experience is on here. It reminds me how easy it is to learn. It reminds me of when I rebuilt a front differential last year by watching YouTube. When my dad was visiting, he was like "Damn! Do you know how many differentials I effed up before getting it right!?"
I am only in my 30s, so I can't speak for the old timers here, but I am guessing there was alot more trial and error in the enhanced community back before the internet.
I really am thankful for those who paved the way before us, and those who are still paving the way in this industry!
Yeah man, this place reminds me of certain car and engine forums from the 06/08 era. I spent so much time learning turbo/engine related stuff. With The Internet forum and my basic tools I did engine swaps, turbo installs, wiring, engine builds, literally self taught everything the whole way. Now I’m going through this process again here and in the gym. There is always something to read or someone else’s experience or ideas. It’s awesome. The amount I’ve learned in a couple months is crazy. It’s also a time capsule dating back 15+ years.
To be healthy, happy and content within yourself is honestly the Best Life you can be living everyday mate, nothing can beat that. Sometimes you can get sucked up in irrelevant things and begin to think it takes many other factors and possessions to achieve that position but it really doesn't. Many of us really don't and won't ever realise just how good we have got it, knowing we can sit down to have our dinner without the fear of a missile coming through our lounge window.
