Ok, Guys, this is the card we’ve been waiting for all year. I think Colby is gonna bring it to Edwards. I’m definitely expecting a great fight, but for some reason I think Colby is a better fighter overall. I could be wrong, but my money’s on Covington.
I’m also looking forward to the Tony Ferguson vs Paddy Pimblet fight. My bet is that Tony will take him out, but if he doesn’t, he should lay down those gloves and retire. He’s a great fighter, but watching him lose fight after fight is getting sad at this point. Does he have what it takes to beat this Buster Brown wannabe????

Pretty lame fight if you ask me, but I have to admit that Edwards seems to be a much better fighter. Although, a sixth round may hay proven differently. Anyway, lamest fight of the night if you ask me. SMH

Yeah, that was definitely a POS thing to say, regardless of what his father may have done. I gained a lot of respect for Leon after last night. He’s a true champion without a doubt

Nah, I’m too old now. It didn’t exist when I was growing up. I did study Brazilian Jiujitsu when I was 30, but I was already a little too old and out of shape at that point in my life. I grew up wrestling, and trained in Taekwondo for over ten years. Made it to 2nd degree Black Belt by age 19, but then work and my first marriage and career at the time got in the way. I was working a union heavy construction laborer job at the time, so by the time I got home from work, I didn’t have it in me to get to train.
You have a lot of experience with fighting though it sounds like, at least you have done it before so if you ever need it you have the skills to use it. I thought it was relatively safe to do as a hobby, but I keep hearing of guys getting quite badly injured from it in the forums. There was a member saying he got a very bad pec tear only the other day from an arm bar, others talking about shoulder injuries and so on. The kind of things that have the ability to destroy your gym training.
Absolutely! That’s why I gave up BBJ. We were practicing one day, and a friend of my iprofessor came in to help teach the class. He chose me to roll with as we were all working on the new technique he just taught us. I guess that me being only a yellow/black stripe gave him the impression that I would be an easy crash test dummy. My extensive background in wrestling proved him wrong and he couldn’t pull the move off on me. Suddenly, my professor had us all switch partners, and he chose me to roll with. Well, not only did he successfully execute the move, he did it so well that he cracked two of my ribs in the process. Fuckin asshole. I was down for about a month and and decided I was done with it.

It’s going to be a close fight but Colby hasn’t really won with high level opponents. Leon doesn’t really possess any weak points and is good on every level of the game. Colby’s chin is suspect.

Leon edwards is a very vanilla fighter that’s good in all elements of the game. Colby is a volume guy with great wrestling so he is very good. I just see Edwards finishing him. Colby is also the biggest fake with selling this villain character but it sells. Love him or hate him, he’s a good fighter.

I’m happy he beat that scumbag. He shouldn’t have crossed that line. Leon will have to do something different against the Russians though. He was on cruise control this fight and he won’t be able to do that with those guys.
I gotta agree with you and Jake the dude was a jackass for damn sure. But what really did it for me was during the pre-fight press conference when he said that Leon would meet his deceased dad. Some lines shouldn't be crossed. Automatic ass whipping!

I love Jorge but he was always a mid level fighter. Colby is a good fighter but I doubt he can still beat Edwards, Mohammed khamzat etc.

Well boxing is learning a thing or 2 from MMA for sure. MMA doesn't let politics get in the way of a good fight like boxing does. And UFC fans wouldn't go for that anyway but boxing fans do. It's crazy man.

Yeah, I’m happy for the kid, especially because he’s from Jersey. I’m a Dallas fan though, so I can’t make that bet, LOL. If they beat Dallas, I’ll definitely route for them though. I’m probably the only Dallas fan that would.
These are tough to call, I’ll go with you on Colby, although Edwards has a reach advantage and is a lefty. The others? No idea but it’ll be a great watch.
