Gyno during blast, how to address this?
I have been on TRT for around 2 years, 100mg of test-C per week has my levels sitting at around 1100ng/dl. No AI being used, no sides at all.
Decided to do a 10 week blast upping my test-c to 300mg a week, I am at week 8 now and have started to feel signs of high estrogen.
I have pain in both nipples similar to a bruised feeling and slight lumps behind the nipples. Blood pressure has rose slightly also.
I have anastrozole on hand but have never used an AI before so was wondering if .25mg 2-3 times a week will be enough to lower my estrogen back to normal levels? As im only on a small blast as it is, 300mg is hardly a mr olympia level cycle.
Also once I finish in 2 weeks will I be okay to return to my 100mg a week TRT dose and drop the anastrozole as long as my high estrogen side’s have subsided?
Any help appreciated!

I had similar sides when running cruise test. I am 4 weeks into a new cycle (Test and NPP) - using armidex .25mg… it started EOD and honestly, after a week or so, I dropped down to as needed/preventative.
Meaning I take it probably 1-2 times per week now. It seems to cut my sides out almost instantly and I don’t want to overload my system and kill all estrogen levels.
Edit: I’m running fairly high doses of both test and NPP
Too much bro science going on here. The truth is that everybody reacts differently to different meds. I've just done my first cycle and tried 0.5mg eod for the gyno I was experiencing. It clearly wasn't enough so I upped it to ed, still not enough but when I upped it to 1mg per day, itchy nips and lumps disappeared after a couple of weeks.
I've heard Letrozole is the one to use if all else fails but I haven't got that sort of experience yet. I haven't needed Letrozole but from the research I've done, that will reverse gyno real quick but you have to do your own research.
Nolva fixes that issue by blocking the receptors. Thats medically proven and not bro science. If you convert to needing a massive 1mg of adex per day, get aromasin or reconfigure your cycles.
I wouldn't use adex if you are worried about estro levels when going back to TRT and especially now that you have a small case of gyno. You want a suicide inhibitor like aromasin so that you don't have any estro rebound which you can have when stopping the adex. Your gyno is still early so you may still have a chance to get rid of it if you act immediately. I would get on some nolvadex asap at 40mg/d for 2 weeks then drop that down to 20mg/d until the gyno is gone. Could be a month or two. Would probably also be wise to drop your test dose back down until you get the gyno under control. May or may not get rid of it but that is your best shot at a chance. That is a high TRT level, what are your baseline estro levels with that high of a level?
I had actually ordered Nolva originally but then changed to arimidex as I read that nolva blocks the receptors but doesn’t necessarily reduce estrogen so I opted for Adex as I thought it could actually get rid of the estrogen. I also read up about aromasin but my supplier did not have any at the time I ordered, I can however source this from elsewhere if needs be. You think Nolva could do the job? I was actually worried about estrogen rebound also, im a little new to this so a bit confused as to whats best.
I cannot remember my estro levels off the top of my head exactly but last time I had bloodwork showing those levels of testosterone it was within the normal range, towards the upper end.
I an due bloodwork at the end of December again.
Nolva or raloxifene, either or will work for gyno when caught early enough. Once gyno has set in it can easily flare up with estro elevated just a little bit. You may have to keep estro in the middle or lower end of normal to avoid flare ups with gyno.
What do you think about running raloxifene throughout a high test cycle? Using just a small dose of aromasin for bloating, if the need arises? I've got some gyno, particularly under my left nipple and I'm always paranoid of making it worse.
Your first course of action is to properly control estro with an AI. Raloxifene for emergencies if you screwed up with your AI dosing.
Ralox is amazing but if it's just 'soft' gyno, adex should knock it out relatively easy. If it gets hard, Ralox is my go to now. I only used it once and can't believe how quickly to knocked a hard lump right out
How long did you use it? No signs of the hard lump returning?
.25mg of Adex Tuesday & Friday seems to have worked well, 3 weeks in tenderness has totally gone (it went around 10 days in) lumps seem to have also gone right down, basically undetectable at the moment.
I did drop my dose back down to 100mg TRT, going to knock off the Adex next week and see how I go without it. I have plenty on hand if trouble arises again!
Take the anastrozole. But do like UncleYoked suggested start with 2x per week.
And on a side note, if thats you in your profile pic it just goes to show that bodyfat levels arent the only thing that comes into play wehn it comes to aromatisation.
I had a simlular situation when i bumped my test from 200mg/week to 300mg/week. On 200 per week i was taking .25mg Anastrozole eod and was fine. Then went to 300mg per week and had to back off a bit cause of estro prpblems.
I was so confused about AIs went i first started because of all the info on the web. Some guys say never take an AI others say take it. You really have to go by YOUR expeirences and YOUR body there is no cut and dry one way to do things.
Yes mate thats me in the photo, I was leaner there than I am now as i’ve added around 12lbs during this cycle so a little softer at the moment lol!
Going to follow what UncleYolked said and go for .25mg twice a week just to see how I go as I want the minimum effective dose really, don’t want to crush my estrogen.
I’m taking in all of the help given on this thread though and appreciate everybody’s input.
The one thing i’m wondering is wether I will be able to return to my TRT dose of 100mg per week and taper off the AI? I know you may not have a straight forward answer to that as everyone differs but I was hoping I wouldn’t have to maintain AI use after lowering my dose back down. I was feeling awesome and bloods were within range without the use of an AI for the last 2 years
Now that you have gyno, or believe to be. You gotta address it. I used letro to shrink mine. Started at half of 2.5 pill for a week. Then did full 2.5 2-3 weeks then backed off to half again. I used 30 pills total. To each their own and results. But now that it's there, it can flare up if you don't keep your E under control. Always take an AI. Even if it's small. Hope this helps
start with 2x a week and see how you feel.
I like to keep letro on hand in case you need to really kill it. You may not need something that strong but you might want to get some just to keep on deck
Yeah take the ai man. Stop suffering. But nobody will be able to tell you how much ai to take because everybody is different. But you will have to take more at first to get rid of the gyno than you would usually take weekly. If you have gyno right now ide say take 1mg at least to see how much relief that gives you.
