Blimey buddy normally anything close to the joint is bad and requires surgery: pec, shoulder, top of bicep any of those. Not sure about yourself - but one of the hardest parts I found to overcome mentally was getting back into training with medium to heavy weights again and fearing the same outcome. I would be laid on the bench shitting myself with anxiety about the possibility of the same thing happening again but this time a proper detachment - took me a long time to get that out of my head. As with most tears though, you never see them coming so you have to just accept the possibility and get on with it. OR you stop - and stopping is not an option Mr P!!!! There are tonnes of studies showing consuming it strengthens and regenerates the cross sections of tendon fibres. Vit C amplifies the absorbtion and effect of it too.
