+ 3 Just a reminder of the importance of BW
Been using PED’s on/off since I was 27. 49 now. Over the last 5yrs I’ve done both UGL and prescribed TRT with a few blasts here and there. My PCP does a great job monitoring my health.
About 6 months ago I got some Winstrol with an order. It’s been over a decade since I’ve used the compound. Decided a few weeks ago to give it a try again to harden up a little. Ran 50mg/day for three weeks and got bloodwork done Friday. It came back with my cholesterol fucked up so I dropped it. I generally run on the higher side because of age and genetics.
Just a reminder to us older guys to get bloodwork done especially if we add a compound or drastically change doses. Our bodies change over time and the abuse I did in my 20’s could really screw me at 50.
Lift hard!
Eat right!
Be safe!
Get your bloodwork done!

Like checking your fluids in your car. Keep the machine running efficiently.
Good analogy, how often do you do a transfusion?
On the golf course I’ve been known to take down 8 transfusions in a round…I always lose count tho after 3
That caused me confusion.
I am joking…couldn’t tell if ur question was serious or in jest. I don’t get blood transfusions.
as was i... you get oil changes, so keeping in line with your analogy...
So you don’t like my analogy or you do like my analogy? Now I’m confused.
I like your analogy then took it to the extreme.
Another older guy here. I agree it is important to keep an eye on your bloodwork. For years I had a shit dr but it was easy just to let it be. Not until I finally switched did I realize how little he was was doing for me. Another thing I learned is to always be honest with them. It can only work in your favor.
Winni is a dirty drug. Not surprised. Just as bad if not worse than the so called "mild" var which will flip your lipids like this in an instant. At least you are monitoring it.
DaPumpI've repeatedly seen HDL in the single digit with a very conservative dose of Winny.
Look at what mere SIX milligram a day can do:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2915439/
Hey man, I’ve seen you recently comment on how var is harsher on the body than it’s reputation insinuates. Would you elaborate, please?
When people think of orals they only tend to think about their effect on your liver since they are methylated. Var isn't to bad on the liver so people think it is mild oral and relatively safe but it is extremely bad for your lipids and will skyrocket cholesterol and flip your HDL/LDL values moreso than alot of other orals out there. It is a wrecking ball on lipids.
Noted. I appreciate the info. In your experience, does that body tend to rebalance itself once the var is out of the system or do corrective measures need to be taken - either while on cycle or after (given that each person's reacts differently, I'm just asking in the broadest sense)?
I'm still trying to get my lipids back to where they should be from when I ran var this summer. Doesn't seem to be a quick process to bring them back to where they should be.
Heard. I really didn't realize that it was that impactful. I had a false notion of vars relative safety & mildness. It seems we need to expand the conversation with orals beyond simply liver impact.
Lot of people don't run lipids when running a cycle with orals. Usually just interested in impact on liver but lipids should really be included on all screening tests because even high test can mess with lipids. Need to think about overall long term health and impacts more seriously.
This is the reason I don’t fuck with orals. Not stepping on stage, don’t need EVERY available advantage.
I’ve seen a few older guys post on here lately about going on TRT, trying a cycle or adding a compound to a cycle and they haven’t done any bloodwork at all.
I felt like a million bucks when I got my blood drawn Friday, BUT, if I had continued the Winstrol I could have added plaque to my arteries that wouldn’t go away. I can’t abuse my body and recover the way I did in my 20’s. LOL
