Long term Glutamine supplementation for better utilization of fat

Hi members! Recently I have been actively going through useful nutrition subjects in our forum and as well as some published papers.
My primary goal now is to improve fat utilization. I came across this paper. Even though it is quite old, i like to hear from you and your experience with Glutamine.

This is an interesting view. It states Glutamine induces insulin resistance in adipose tissue. So as far as my understanding, the body struggles to be in fat conservation mode and hence it may burn more fat. Do you support my view. Have you ever experienced the effect of Glutamine in fat loss?

Glut is the most abundant amino acid in the body. Not going to do anything as far as fat utilization goes or specifically increasing muscle mass. Maybe some impacts on gut health if you are deficient (which is probably rare) but that is probably about it.

Never seen a difference when actually supplementing with it. I think most people probably get enough glut if they eat meat and especially if they consume whey protein like most of bodybuilders do. Most of the pre/intra/post workout supplements always seem to have a dose of it in there also. I never really felt the need to supplement additionally with it personally. I don't see any harm in doing so if someone feels they get a benefit from it though. It surely isn't going to hurt you.

Thanks for the info. I agree on this. I have IBS. Extra Glutamine helps me with this. But IBS itself inconsistent weirdly.

Thanks for reaching the post. I take 5g after waking up, 5 g before sleep, and 5 g after workout. 5g pre workout may help too. 15g per day is what my gut prefers. Maybe people with proper gut benefit by 5g upon waking and 5g after workout only

I can't comment on fat loss as its something I've never noticed or carry, but as an avid Glutamine user I find it invaluable for keeping a healthy digestive tract and guts/intestines. All the way from the stomach to the colon it helps with excess stomach acid, digestion, intestinal wall replenishment etc. It aids Liver function also. Its a must have when running trenbolone. Not sure how effective it is for muscle growth but general health reasons its brilliant.

That was one useful information to me. Yes I always noticed my intestines tends to work better on Glutamine. But trenbolone+ Glutamine makes sense to me. It was a good piece of advice i take on my next tren cycle. To add on your comment, even i haven't experienced specifically fat loss from Glutamine,probably because i am either on hgh, test, tren or anavar most of the time. The effect from this compounds simply shines over Glutamine's
