AnonIt may be going through an exfoliation process where dead or infected cells are surfacing and exfoliating. So keep it clean. And don't pin gear around that area.
It looks like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Which is a darkening of the skin after a wound heals. It will fade with time, could take 3 months or 24 months. There are also OTC creams to help with hyperpigmentation. Search online for Hyperpigmentation cream or Dark Spots & Acne Scar Remover cream.
