All jokes aside, coming from a ex-smoker... quitting was the hardest to overcome! Many attempts failed until I finally put them down.
I've never ever understood why people smoke or why people even want to start in the first place - to stink of smoke and fill your lungs full of tar for what gain? You must look at it now and wonder what you were thinking, especially when you are into your training too. Its hard enough catching your breath on steroids without throwing fags into the mix too Lol

Agreed. I smoked as a teen, quit for 6 years because I wanted to box and by all means, boxing changed my life and behaviors as a whole, but then smoked in college. Yup, I have not smoked since 2012 but live with a social smoker and have a whole family that smokes. It is what it is. Cigs dont bother me, nor does THC smoke. My mother has emphazima and I watch her suffer while coughing up a lung non stop day and night. It's hard to visit and she still smokes hard. No drugs or alcohol, well, that's the way I see it. I just have to accept it
I absolutely do! They are beyond gross. Back in high school someone gave me a cigarette at a party and for some reason I enjoyed the calming effect it gave me. Can’t stand being around cigarettes now. Smell horrible

They are gross. the smoke turns everything yellow, stains and smells up everything amd get Into the paint amd interior of everything. It is a nasty habit.
I lost my Grandfather to smoking related illness, died of pneumonia and fluid on the lungs but somehow he made it into his eighties despite being a massive alcoholic and smoker. In the end he virtually drowned inside from all the fluid, if I was on deaths door you bet I'd try to quit but he defiantly wouldn't. Same as if the docs said get off gear now or you will be dead next week you'd absolutely do it wouldn't you no matter how rough you felt!
...oh man, drowned inside. Sorry man, must have been hard to hear or to see this. Family or not. I'm sure that there was pain, although it has been said that drowning is more of a peaceful death; I wouldn't know. The way that I see it is that, If your life becomes unmanageable because of the drug, then you know that there lies a major problem amd it's time to quit....but that's a different demon
