Deca and Joint pain.

ad

I'd like the opinions from the gentlemen with experience in Deca and Joint pain relief. No matter how much reading and research that one does at times life experience trumps what in research can tell you. When I was younger I did a lot of ego lifting with the guys I worked with. I would lift more than my body could really take and I put my back through a lot of unnessacery stress. My L4, L5 and S1 have barely enough space in between they to pass a sheet of paper through. Nothing seems to help releave the discomfort and pain that they cause. I will not take Narcotics and I emphasize WILL NOT. I've taken enough ibuprofen to choke a mule to the point where its cause a lot of stomachs issues. The only next step would be to have surgery and I'm totally afraid of though I know I should. I've taken Deca going on(correction going on 5wks) but I'm not sure its been long enough to give relief. So my question is does Deca really give the relief some says it does. And if I was looking to get relief what would be the best dosage to administer. I value the opinions of the community and would appreciate any helpfulf advice y'all can give. Thank you guys for being here to ask for help from.

shaun1's picture

Thanks for all the help gentlemen. I'm dropping the Deca all together. I'm going to keep my low dose of trt test for now. Going to try and get a better work out routine to help take some of the focus off my back and to help strengthen it up some. Going to make a Dr apt to discuss the epidural and see what he recommends with that and discuss further with him on going forward with the surgery. I'm not getting any better nor will I get any better doing the same ol thing I have been doing over and over. Its time to be smart about this and fix the problem instead of just putting a temporary bandaid on it. I really love Eroids and the help you can get here. Once again thank you guys for your insight and help much appreciated and MUCH RESPECT.

I have never experienced any type of joint relief from deca. Not likely going to work for what you have going on.

Gymjunkie01's picture

Decca will only mask joint pain to an extent , for me it’s a god send for my knees and hips, anymore I walk like a 80 year old man lol. But don’t confuse masking the pain with curing it! If you have pain it’s your body’s way of telling you HEY THERES A PROBLEM HERE. As for your back brother don’t believe it will bring you relief, prob going to need surgery or other medical procedure for that

I don't believe it will help your back pain. I have chronic pain. I tried 3 times with deca specifically to try to help my back. It didn't change a thing. And if you want to use it for pain 100mg is a reasonable dose. Then you screw up your endocrine system and need to supplement with test. Not worth it
Ask your md about small dose corticosteroid medicine, nerve pain medication. Like neurontin, epidural pain shot. Try what you can before surgery if possible. Deep tissue massage helps. Hanging upside down is good. Deca not great idea

shaun1's picture

I've went the corticosteroid route but after a few years I started to build up a tolerance to it. I can't take any kind of narcotic or any thing like neurontin that could possibly cause a relapse. I've come along ways the past 6yrs to fall back into that darkness.

Time for procedure my friend. Neurontin is a antiseizure medication. Sounds like best choice is small operation

Sounds like you need to address the problem first n foremost, if the issues of narrowing or degenerative disk is causing the pain you need to focus on that instead of a non narcotic pain solution, because in the end the pain will come back again and again until it’s corrected....
Surgery on the lower lumbar and entire spine, has come along way in terms of downtime/ recovery....I feel your pain as I’ve had surgery on the same 3 discs as you describe.... I was stubborn and just delt with the pain for 20 yrs before I had enough and had the surgery.....I did everything know to man to deal with the pain, somethings helped but the issue remained, .....had surgery in 2012 ( or 2011 im forgetful in my old age) , did all the pt, over used the pain meds, and thought I was as good as I was gonna get....not until I got off the meds and got back into a healthy lifestyle did I start to actually recover from the surgery.... learned how to stretch, strengthen my core to take the load off the lower back ( let me tell you it’s a whole different mind muscle connection than I was used to) , worked on nutrition since I became the skinny fat old guy lol
Since my surgery I’ve had 2 epidurals but the last being 3yrs ago .... knowing what I know now, I’m sure I could have recovered in half the time simply by being patient, working with the therapist, and not abusing the drugs....
sorry for rambling on, I just like to talk about myself sometimes haha, .. in short, I would ditch the deca, well all aas for that matter , until you fix the root of the problem. It can be a challenge at times but keep your head up and stay focused on recovering ....

shaun1's picture

That's why I said in my post, I WILL NOT TAKE A NARCOTIC FOR PAIN. Like you said they only mask the issue temporarily and in most cases cause you to only cause more issues. I was in the Army and was in the 82nd Airborne. I have numerous jumps under my belt so between the jumps and ego lifting the damage is done. For years I took Narcos to help with the pain but only done more damage than good, so now I stay away from them. Its just the thought of the Dr probing instruments in my back that scares me. I know its a slim chance of something bad happening but the chance is still there. One tiny slip and I'm screwed for life. I just need some relief unroll I can get to a place where I'm able to go under the knife. I'd like to have all my shit together and lined up for the just in case. I trust Drs to a point but once my faith is a little stronger then ill be able to go under.

Have u been offered the epidural? Pretty simple process, yes it’s a pain masking procedure more or less but maybe an option if surgery is off the table..... I would definitely choose this route over a self prescribed deca use....
I hear you on the whole trust in doctors thing, don’t know anyone that is thrilled to have someone poking around in their spine but it appears at some point you’re gonna have to do it. For me the risk reward factor was worth the surgery... hell i was to the point that a good sneeze or reaching under the couch to get the bong would put me in bed for three days chewing on Percocet ( just kidding about the bong .... sort of ..) , ...is the shutdown to your system from deca worth the small amount of relief? Or is the” fairly” routine surgery with possible permanent relief the route to go? Obviously you’re the only one that can make the call , so whichever way you decide I hope it works out for you

Deca doesnt give any joint pain whatsoever. Ive run very high dose with zero other AAS or ancilliaries, and deca, in no uncertain terms, does not provide any form of joint relief. Anyone who says it does, doesnt know what they are talking about.

However, when you take testosterone and an androgen that has a higher binding affinity than test (like deca), much test is left displaced to convert to estrogen. The extra estrogen with its water retention is what provides the illusion of joint relief. Important to note though is that damage still takes place in the joints/in connective tissues at the joints under load despite water retention.

There is no true therapeutic effect, just the masking of problems with estrogenic water retention.

I never looked at it from that angle. This right here is the very reason why I love droids like I do. Its guys like you that drop so much knowledge and insight to things.

I also reckon that Deca offers no joint relief and the rest of what you say makes sense.

giardap's picture

The irony is that people usually get hit with the lower back pumps at this stage too, particularly if they like a bit of salt!

Interesting! Explains a lot.

I wouldn't use nandrolone in any form it will mask the injuries and there is a good chance that you could hurt yourself worse.
Look into hgh it will help with some recovery and will also put water in joints its no miracle but there is proven science behind it helping heal injuries in athletes.
I started using gh at 2iu for my tendons and tendonitis it has helped.
It has also given me side effects that I don't like also. I guess its taking the good with the bad and the good out weighing the bad.
I get some numbness that I don't like from the gh but it goes away once I stop using im running gh right now and it hasn't started yet but I did just begin a wk ago.
I wish you the best injuries suck

Thanks for sharing this! Ive been feeling my age lately and have a touch if tendonitis in the shoulder. Been using fish oil for some time but just added glucosamine last week and am about to do a round of tb500. Definitely going give this a go though.

Try and get powdered form jay. Easy to mix with your shake or juice to help mask the taste

Also get more product for your money

If your using tb-500 it's almost useless without
bpc-157 they work in synergy bro and the real deal absolutely works.

I'm friends with a source on hear ......I never review as I don't think it's ethical to do so. He put me on this combo when I tore both forearms.it has some level of pain relief but speeds up recovery big time. They use this in Dubai on the hourses and we all know how much them bad boys are worth

Interesting that you raise that. I eat jelly (Gelatin) for tendonitis because of the collagen it contains. For me it works (doesn't help disk issue though). There is some medical evidence out there that supports this idea (I think - read something years ago).

kibby's picture

My old boxing coach swore by it mate he wanted us to have this instead of fish oils.

And also a few of the older lifters use it were I train

I believe it. I have been using Jelly since the mid-90's when I first read about it. Hey - a bowl of jelly and some ice-cream each day for a few weeks - not a bad way to heal your tendonitis. Might not be good on a cutting cycle - but just use sugar-free/unsweetened Jelly and ice-cream. (I'm just throwing the ice-cream in there because it was a desert treat when I was a kid).

One of my favourites ;)

Hey brother
This is a supp in a cap or actually eating beef collagen??

kibby's picture

Hi mate,

You can get it in cap form or in powder form to mix with drinks (I prefer powder form) as it's not the best tasting so can be disguised in juice ect

Dirt cheap 100% affective or I'll give you the money back out of my pocket ;)

I love Deca. It's one of my favourite hormones. I have run long cycles of 300mg pw and never found it to have much joint pain relieving properties. I have a prolapsed disc in my lower back and Deca has not helped in terms of sciatic pain relief - which I suffer from constantly. I think Deca is possibly good for soft tissue/tendon repair and faster muscle recovery. Having said that, others may have different and opposing experiences - I guess that it all comes down to how each person's body reacts to various hormones.I don't take Ibuprofen for the reasons you stated - there is a back pain medication that is very effective and is specifically designed for back pain. I don't think that I can mention it here (it's NOT a narcotic - it's an NSAID). You can send a FR if interested.

You might want to also read this - could be worth considering (link provided by IrishWOLFhound) https://www.arthritiswa.org.au/news/view/a-breakthrough-treatment-for-os...

If you're at the 5 week mark and don't have any relief what so ever then in my opinion it might not help but everyone is different and how they react. Im dealing with a tennis elbow area strain from a work related incident that comes and goes and gets agitated at different activities and I can say that now that the Deca is out of my system I am remembering the injury because this problem is coming back to the surface where as while on Deca it wasn't. I noticed relief well before the 5 week mark. Just my opinion fellas

Greg's picture

I would imagine the answer depends on what is causing the pain. I suspect there are a far greater number of things that can cause pain than there are that Deca can anecdotally help with.

I don't buy into the "joint pain miracle drug" theory.

shaun1's picture

Neither do I. Compression over the years has done a number on me. Ciro doesn't seem to help much. I'm going to have to talk more with my Dr more about the surgery route I guess. The thought of back surgery just makes me sick to my stomach but from what I've researched and from what my Dr has told me it's very subtle and it can be out patient and that recovery time is minimal.

you'd be surprised what these guys can do these days with a local and a 1 inch cut.
Sounds like you'll be fine I wouldn't stress too much over it. Get one of those tables that hang you upside down.

So my question is does Deca really give the relief some says it does.

I hate to point out that elbow pain or knee pain may be relieved and back pain may not.

I don't know the answer.

Yes it does help, most definitely. How much are you using?

shaun1's picture

I'm only using 250mgs a week. So 125 2xwk.
