Oilly skin
ad
This is more curiosity than a question. I know oilly skin is a side effect of test. In the past with different labs I have had overly oilly skin. But it seems like here lately I don't have the first sign of oilly skin. l know my test is good because I have all the other normal sides. What really causes your skin to be oilly and what would be reasons why I never get oilly skin any more. By no means am I complaining at all but I had just been noticing it and it sparked my curiosity. Thanks for any feed back.

when I add oral dht steroids oil on skin increases big time for me
basskiller89I belive DHT is the primary cause as it's the hormone that causes sub q to produce sebum
I never really experienced oily skin when I would blast without dutasteride, but I would notice a new zit every few days without dutasteride, where as now there's no breakouts at all
Every so often ill get a bad break out on the inside of my arms by my arm pits. Ill check in to the dutasteride. Just another tool for my box.
basskiller89.5mg a day clears out around 90-92% of total DHT from studies I've read
It has a really long half life of 5 weeks so it takes around 2-3 months for max suppresion
RustyhookerLets not forget the strength of dht in our cycles. Most of us add dht
basskiller89Very true, it's I believe more anabolic than testosterone itself
All the guys below have good points that I agree with but I’ll add one thing.
Time.
Your body is used to certain levels of androgens, you start cycling and your body has to relearn equilibrium with all these new factors. I believe this is one of the reasons more amateur guys have acne while more vets get it less. As your body learns to deal with the drugs it becomes better equipped to deal with the extra oil.
Sebum the oil your skin produces via the sebaceous gland can fluctuate with hormone levels. You ever notice acne comes on at the beginning, end and even during pct until hormones stabilize. Hormone increases can cause the sebaceous glands to become ultra sensitive. The trick is finding out which hormone is causing the sebaceous glands to go into overdrive. With that being said blood work can help but unless your testing for specific hormones and trying to treat the oily skin by altering the specific hormone level over a period of time it can be hard to find the culprit. Let’s think about this for a second.. So we introduce subcutaneous testosterone to the system that is aromatizing into estrogen. For some the increased testosterone could be triggering the excess oil production, for others it could be the e2 increase. Similarly with nandrolone and it’s potential to increase prolactin and so on with dht based aas. In conclusion it’s hard to pin it down to just one compound. Different raws and esters can potentially effect the reaction as well. We all react differently. Personally as I became a more experienced aas the oil production become less pronounced as it had in my beginning cycles as if my body became less sensitive to the introduction of exogenous hormones.
Ill have to say that answered my question. Thanks JL your a pretty smart dude ill give you that. I never would have thought of it like that but it all really makes perfect sense now that I've read it. Thanks for the knowledge drop bro. Schools out. This is why I love eroids, so much knowledge at the tip of your fingers.
One thing I fought over the years is acne. I’ve tried everything. I don’t break out nearly as bad as I use to even when I get oily skin. Anymore when I’m starting to breakout I hit the tanning bed. Clears up most of my acne. I don’t like taking a bunch of shit if it’s not really necessary. I’ve learned to live with it. Extra showers help a lot too.
I'm 100% with you on that less is more. If I don't have to take it or I don't need it then why take it. Even with a head ache I try to not take anything or at least go untill I can't any more before I pop an aspirin. Why put my body and liver through any more unessery stress than its already under. After awhile we build up tolerances to everything so I like to keep it on the lowest end possible as to not have to end up taken more and more. I can deal with acne I'm not in shows nor do I need to impress anyone other than myself so I can handle a few pimples.
Thumbs up
RustyhookerBoom
RustyhookerBloods? That will give more answers that random guesses on how your body reacts. Ai too high, not enough good fats in diet, dehydrated etc....
Your right rusty I really need to have bloods drawn really just to see where my my body is at not only for test an AI purposes but for my all around health and make sure every thing is working in sync. Just thought it was odd how my skin never gets oilly like it use too.
RustyhookerIt is odd, agree. My last cycle had my skin barely oilly and with the hard water in my area i look forward to non scratchy dry skin. Lol.
For me, if I run my AI and combo provi @50mg daily, it keeps my oil down. Throw in 10% benzel peoxil wash twice a day and it keeps in check. I'm curious what a low dose of Accutane would do as well.
Dominick77I've noticed in the past that when I am on test without AI, my skin is super oily. However when I am on a high dose test and I incorporate an AI, skin is no longer oily at all. Is that true for you as well? Some might argue that dry skin is a sign of very low estro, which is true, but in my case bloods and my joints tell me the AI dose I supplement with is my "sweet spot".
I find my sweet spot. By not crying so dabm much during sappy movies...
Dominick77That's also another way to know haha.
Yea the Notebook and Homeward bound gets me every time.
I'm not really prone to elevated estro and seldom have to take an AI. When I did have majorly oilly skin I never used any Ai's, granted I didn't have any blood work done to determine estro but I never had any side effects of high estro. When my skin was oilly I was on a full cycle of test cyp at 500mgs a week. Now I basically cruise at around 200mgs of cyp a week. Maby with the difference in mgs a week could be the reason behind it. My skin isn't for say dry and cracked just not oilly.
AnonAre you using any topical creams or lotions? I've noticed ambient temperature makes a difference. Cold weather my skin is not oily, warmer temp it is.
Me too brother when especially when it goes from cold to hot, when it gets above 90 for our normal 4 months I keep a tube of sent free baby wipes around to degrease. If I get too much sun it happens too.
No I don't use any creams or anything like that. Only places I was oilly at was my face and chest. It is winter now but this past summer I was on the same cruise and the oil wasn't present then either.
