Are mass gainers better than whey protein for building muscle?

ad

I have been using whey protein for nearly 7 months now,I have put on some mass but I am still far from where I want to be. Will mass gainers speed up the process

Can you use mass gainers and gain just lean mass while minimizing fat?

I have read some articles which tell the benefits of mass gainers over whey proten: http://bit.ly/2boUSni
some of them are:
-easier to meet calorie requirements
-Has creatine and L-Glutamine
and its easier to add mass with mass gainers

Agree with all the bros here that mass gainers are shit. You definitely need more than just Protein to put on size though. When bulking I add ground up oats to my protein shakes fro carbs or even order carbs in powder. Myprotein.com had a good selection.

Mass gainers are full of fat and sugar and a waste of money. When you see how many scoops you have to use and how much money it costs you might rethink it. You should never eat or drink 2000 calories in one sitting unless you want to be a blob. You can more bang for your buck if you consume 3 750 calorie meals and then 3 500 calorie meals then that garbage. 6 meals a day would put you at close to 4000 and YOU get to choose how much protein, fats, and carbs versus the mass gainer where you are tied into their ratios.

Mass gainers....we should just call them fat gainers cause that is the only mass you will gain from them. All the simple sugars they contain to buff up the calorie content will have your insulin so out of whack that all of those extra cals will be going into fat gain along with pretty much everything else you eat now too.

I tried it once for 2 days and gave the bag away, I paid 50 for a 10 pound bag that will last a week and a half if used to gain mass. One serving was 3 massive scoops in 32 ounces of water and it still turned into cement. I had to use 2 32 ounce jugs of water just to be able to drink it. There was no fkn way I could drink those for more then 2 days because after you drink one you are full for about 5 hours and the cardio from running to the toilet was the only benefit. Besides it took you about 30-45 minutes just to drink one shake.

There is nothing wrong with those at all, as long as you make it for what your goal is you can find it very helpful.
