Just back in Gym after close to 2 years - Gained 11pds 8 days( no gear) WTF?
Hi guys,
I was a member here back in the day, so figured this would be a place to give me some answers.
I literally have been out of the gym for close to 2 years, I just recently put my first solid 5 day workout in and weighed myself today since it was end of week and was weighed in at 272, no my problem is, on that same scale just last week, I weighed in at 261 pounds.
I have used tons of gear in the past, would this have something to do with it, and have been training for over 10 years, so I expect some muscle memory, but what exactly is going on that I gain 12 pds in just 1 week?
I am not taking anything whatsoever and am eating less then when I was not working out, I have never even been over 270 in my life... any thoughts?
thanks

What's your body fat? I imagine if it is really high you can fluctuate that much in water weight.
X2. Also might be worth getting bloods to see if that ton of gear you ran has done any damage (hopefully not).
Welcome back by the way and congratulations on picking back up the iron!
bigmurphYou might want to check the batteries in your scale also is it an older scale maybe a newer one is needed.
If its not the scale i agree with ppg your diet can definitely fluctuate your weight up and down easily. This mourn i weighed in at 210 but 3 days ago I was at 214. I was at work and its damn near 100 degrees by me and I believe I honestly just sweated out alot of water I've been working on rehydrating myself since then and keeping the protien and carbs water and fats coming in. Im not sure of your goals but keep cutting and hope that the scale keeps coming down.
Good luck and good gains brother.
I go up and down by 5-6 pounds daily based on food intake. I'm guessing that's all water from your diet plan. Naturally people gain about 8lb of muscle a year. Obviously genetics play a big part in that because some will gain five pounds and some (few) over ten. But that's physically impossible to gain that much muscle in that amount of time. The fact is it's hard to gain that much even with running test, dbol or Decca in that amount of time frame. Which is possible but still would be half water weight even with gear.
