+ 1 Liver aid/ protection

ad

Does anyone here use Methionine with Inositol and Choline for liver protection (mic ) comes in pills or also shots called lipo b. Saw some info that a lot of pro body builders use this for fatty liver and that it's very effective. Just want to know if anyone has concrete experience with this?

How about UDCA, or Ursodeoxychloric Acid.. I think I spelled that correctly.

seems to be very effective for fatty liver

Methionine is the precursor to SAM-e, an injectable pharmaceutical liver restorer used in Russia for hepatic liver conditions. It's an oral over the counter supplement in North America. The Lipo-B shot looks interesting but I'm not knowledgeable enough to tell why Lipo-B would be any better than SAM-e.

The only reason I mention it is because these medications and supplements are related to liver health through the Methionine cycle. If you are interested in educating yourself on why these supplements or drugs are supposed to be good for our livers, read here:

Everyone raves about TUDCA without even really knowing why they are parroting this information. TUDCA, like its close relation UDCA, are great salts for anyone suffering from cholestasis. Using TUDCA or UDCA year round as preventative... not so sure about that. If you are already suffering or on your way to suffering (e.g. long cycles of high dose toxic orals), either would be great. I would possibly pre-load or post-load with TUDCA before or after a cycle, but taking it concomitantly with a liver toxic substance might be bad idea. There is evidence to suggest that dosing TUDCA at around times of alcohol consumption can actually cause more damage than if you hadn't.

The liver is resilient and can repair itself, but it's too hard to see the extent of permanent liver scarring and damage without a biopsy. People die because of liver failure all the time. It's not something to really take lightly, and say, "the liver is tough enough, it can regenerate". Always be aware of what kind of effects the substances you are taking can have on your body, and take proper preventative health precautions.

my doctor sells the lipo b shots but they are like 300 dollars and it doesnt seem like it would last long with the doses they have in the bottle... i have been using the caps and from everything i have been reading it seems to be the best thing out there for protection from aas , as far as getting fatty liver from using.

I had blood work done in December and my LDL was slightly elevated and my HDL was slightly low. My liver enzymes were slightly elevated as well. I've done some reading on liver detox and cholesterol connection. I found that fatty liver is responsible for high cholesterol vs. high cholesterol being responsible for fatty liver. Choline, from what I've researched is the best thing out there to aid in fatty liver. Inositol and L-Methionine are reported as good to use in combination with Choline. The liver is the only organ that can regenerate itself. If that in itself was good enough, one wouldn't need any supplement support for the liver. Fibrosis, scarring of the liver, can occur from poor diets - too much white sugar, high fructose corn syrup and high carbs. Also can be an issue from high alcohol consumption and certain 'medications'. This link is to one of the better articles I found on Choline.

It's all about sharing and trying to come up with some collective proofs of what works and doesn't. Great topic.

Ive never been a big fan of liver supps and with most things what works today is proven useless tomorrow. The liver is a bad boy with its double blood supply and can clean your body and itself out pretty well on its own. JMO

I use milk thistle and turmeric year around..
When I run tren and use accutane I drop turmeric and add Udca (not Tudca) and Liv 52.

TUDCA has been proven as a solid liver support. have done liv 52, before had better liver values using TUDCA.

I normally use liv 52 year round on and off orals. But tudca with liv 52 seems to be one of the best protection combos

Agreed plus 1 to u

Thanks bro I don't see why not run it year round, liver issues run in my wife's family and it's not pretty. I get 10 bottles of double strength liv 52 straight from India for around $40 with shipping. I have a bunch of their cyto kidney protection pills I add those to it when I run orals.

Never used any of those products. But Tudca has been proven to help aid in recovery of your liver. If you are taking orals then Taking Tudca should be a priority
